I thought you'd want Megaman ASAP.

Maybe the rumors were true, Megaman and Frank were held back to make extra profit
because of their popularity. That isn't right.

Oh well, now all we can do is speculate the DLC characters.

We all know Megaman will be DLC as well as Frank because of their popularity.

They might as well have included Wood or Clown Man.

It's still wrong to not include your most popular character and a character you hinted over and over again.
Imagine Street Fighter without Ryu or Super Smash Bros. without Mario.

Why are you surprised that they're gonna hold stuff back for DLC? The whole point of these VS games is to cash in anyways.

It's still wrong to hold back two of your most popular characters for profit.

Especially if one is being hinted at over and over again.

Question is samejamesbond, if you find out for sure that Frank West is DLC for this game will you buy it and then pay for the DLC to enable Frank West?

SJB, sometimes you can't get what you want all the time. When Brawl was announced a few years back, i was hoping that Krystal (from Starfox Adventures/Assault) would be a playable character. Instead it was Wolf. Was i disappointed? sure, but it just proves that everyone can't get what they want all the time

I'm not surprised because Capcom has already shown that it's mainly just interested in making money. They released Street Fighter 4 and it sold huge. Instead of making more content for that game they cashed in by releasing another version and tacking the Super label on it, less than a year later. Granted it wasn't full price but they still made more money than if it was a DLC. By making a new version they basically forced SF fans to buy it. If you didn't buy it you'd be left out because the majority of people moved onto SSF4 leaving the other practically dead online.

But that's exactly what they planned. Get people interested and then pull the rug out from under them with the DLC thing. People will be mad but they'll still buy it.

I know Haggar was the character I wanted the second most, but why couldn't
Capcom just outright say that Frank West isn't in the game?

I haven't been this disappointed since the 2004 MLB ALCS.

Don't you see how well this worked SJB? They got you and many others all excited and then they give some lame reasons to postpone the character and charge extra for it. If they tried it with a less popular character it wouldn't work, right?

Maybe I should be optimistic about him being DLC, then I can have
my top 3 most used TvC characters because Alex is almost 100%
DLC because of his top tier status.

Frank, Alex, and Zero would be awesome.

And this is what Capcom is counting on. No matter how much they tease people or piss them off they'll still pay an extra 5-10 bucks for a character or two that should've been in at release.
