I meant no fatalities. Kicking someone into the air and beating them without blood or consequence does not a fatality make.

The finishing moves in SC are more like Super Combos in SFII or Final Attacks in many SNK fighting games. It's still to the K.O. In my opinion, the only 3D fighter that gets weapon damage correctly is Mace: The Dark Age. Not only was there blood, but there were kill moves as well.

I don't have a problem if a hand to hand fighting game doesn't have fatalities, but when people wail on each other with bladed weapons and there isn't even blood, I just don't buy it somehow.

Now I understand your point.
But it's still a fun fighting game frachise. (imo)

Yep. I have to admit the controls and combo system in Soul Caliber was always great, but that was my one qualm. I will still probably pick-up the SCIV just so I can play as Yoda and Vader, though.

Yeah about that... Almost all of those finishers are garbage. I only liked Yoda, Yoshimitsu and Ivys. The rest look like combos with some flashy graphics. Not to mention they reused some for no reason, do Astaroth and Rock really need to share a finisher? I call laziness and BS.

Amy and Raph own? Pfft, Sophitia is far better and uses less fast button mashing hits.

IMO, Bloody roar is exactly like tekkan only with characters that morph into something. no offense but that is kinda lame. IMO

Sorry but I don't see how it's exactly like Tekken. That's like saying Virtua Fighter is the same as Tekken or King of Fighters is like Street Fighter.
Have you played both games? I have and they seem different enough to me.

actually i have played both. i went through a fighting game craze and played every fighting game i could get my hands on. you do know that IMO means in my opinion right? That's why i put it in the post twice.
it's just my opinion of the game.

ok well on that note, i just thought the controls seemed similar. the game play wasn't exactly the same but it felt really close. also this has been a few years ago for me, i think, i don't have the best of memory.

I really loved Bloody Roar so I'm bias. I wish more people got to play it when it was still new. Nowdays the graphics and moves aren't as dynamic as newer games. I still think changing into animals was awesome though. No other game has done it so seamlessly.

Hmm liked alot of those, but have only played arcade or one in the series.
Only fighting character I am close to mastering is Psylock from Marvel super heroes.
Mk2 for genesis was okay only liked liu kang.
Soul calibur 2 has Link and Nightmare who are fun.
MVC2 newage of heroes was a blast, but I only played it arcade.
Street fighter fit with mortal combat for me.
Doa was fun what I played of it.
So, yeah undecided Saturn gamer votes Nightwarriors and Marvel super heroes.
