I don't think it is illegal to download an emulator on your DS. I think playing an NES game you own on a DS is like putting a CD you own on your Ipod. You own the content, so you can transfer it as you please.

Regardless, ROMS don't count.

Super Mario 64 DS
World Championship Poker
New Super Mario Bros.
Brain Age 1

And then my brothers own these games but I think I've played them more than they have :P

Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2
Pokemon Daimond (Haven't really enjoyed this one though)

the problem with ds is they can't come out with any car realistic racing games
or shooters, Ds was definitely based for little kids which sucks kind of

they have Metroid, that's a great shooter. I don't own it but I have played it.

So if a game is not a realist shooter or racing game its for little kids? I personally don't care for either of those genres, I like platformers (like Mario) much more, and the Nintendo systems have plenty of good ones. Nintendo isn't trying to get the same types of gamers as sony and Microsoft, which is a good thing, because I would hate to live in a world with only Halo and GTA games.

I have noticed something about the DS no one mentioned. There are no 1-on-1 fighting games for it. All they have are DBZ: Supersonic Warriors 2 & Bleach: The Blade of Fate which I like. I just wish they put Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, & Mortal Kombat on there as well. The PSP has all the good 1-on-1 fighting games.

At least there are a good number of RPGs on the DS.

each major gaming business (and here i am referring to nintendo, sony, and microsoft) specialize in different genres. it's how they make the most money; they do what they've been doing well at for all these years (microsoft=shooters, sony=i can't really specify, nintendo="games for children")

I've added two new games to my Nintendo DS collection; Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff and Chrono Trigger. I bought these a few weeks ago but forgot to add them to my list here.

your right they don't have to be but nintendo has terrible graphics this year for wii, there is no good realistic racing games for wii or ds, I think the reason wii is so good for me (just my opinion) is the virtual console, but one drastically major mistake in that too is the stupid wii ware, I mean come on now they rarely come out with any console games, instead they came up with wii ware so they could get lazy and not have to go through all the encoding and legal stuff on the retro games, this has got to be the worst thing nintendo has ever done.

not to say they haven't done good things, and hey they have done lots of great things, but as for the ds it's great and all I thought the touch screen was cool at first, then it became a nescessity for pretty much everything, like they should add mini-games for that but they definitely overdo the touch screen thing.

I love nintendo as much as the next guy but they haven't impressed me much lately,
but excuse my ranting just spreading my opinion and I"m very stressed

I would recommend it if you like tetris, the extra features are cool and stuff, so if you're tetris hardcore I would, like me, but otherwise don't even bother.

I like Tetris but I don't like the prices for it. I was actually going to buy it online a few minutes ago and decided not to. Why is that game so expensive? 45-50 bucks??

I haven't played Chrono Trigger yet...I'm playing Dragon Quest IV right now.

I bought my first DS game in over a year last week, Kirby Superstar DS. Pretty good so far, although it is a little easy.
