Re: What were you like when you became a member here?
Technically been registered on EVG since some time in 06 as well. Never really posted much until 2008 though (probably for the best). Just gamed there playing some of the NES games I used to have. City Connection anyone? Everybody's favourite! :P

I remember because cam used to talk about his sign up date a lot as if it was impressive. One day I checked and mine was a couple months before his even though I didn't post their for like three years.

I used a different account way back when. Cam3ron36 was only created in 2007 or 2008. Had one I really only gamed on in 2006. Another reason I don't really count it. Not a big deal anyways.
Re: What were you like when you became a member here?
In my eyes besides me, Katz, Steven, and TrakMastaTom are the oldest members as they just didn't sign up but they were active members of the cumminty back then as well.

I have a similar time difference between gaming and posting.
I signed up in May 2007 looking for an alternative to Console Classix (some other online retro games playing thing) and then immediately abandoned the site because the java based emulators at the time didn't run well on my computer at the time (2003 computer, Windows XP with 512MB RAM, lols). A few months later I came back for some reason and took Eskiv as my first score.
Then gone again for two more years, then came back (I don't remember why) in fall 2009, and started playing like crazy. I wish I still had my PMs from all the angry people I took scores from.
Re: What were you like when you became a member here?
i signed up back in 08 but didn't became an active member intil 2010, i found out about the site while looking for emulator so i can play games during computer classes in high school and played here so my files would not be deleted lol everyone lost their files except me

It was good (it actually ran on my computer) but it was so, so annoying that most of the games I wanted to play were always hitting the service user limit, so I couldn't play. It eventually got annoying enough that I stopped using it.

I signed up in 07 and haven't stopped being active since, besides a week here and there. I can't be sure about steven on EVG but Katz and TMT have both taken extended hiatuses from what I recall. So yeah, I'm older than them.

I think my biggest stretch of not posting was when I was on my honeymoon for a week, what can I say, I love fellow retro gamers.
I was really blown away when I first found EVG, it was the first site that I ever saw that I decided instantly would be my internet home. EVG and RU are the only 2 places on the net where I have more than 1 or 2 posts, as a matter of fact.

Yeah, I never had problems with NES games running up, but it had categories for other consoles like Snes and gameboy that they expected you to pay to play. NES was free, SNES and everything else was not. This was before I discovered emulators by the way. I did discover Snes emulators and such eventually.
Re: What were you like when you became a member here?
I actually discovered emulation because I went into the Console Classix folder and they had the NES, SNES, GEN emulators all there. Downloaded a rom of Castlevania Bloodlines and that was it. . .
Re: What were you like when you became a member here?
Actually surprised more people knew about that, first I've heard of it since I used it. Seemed like a glorious service at the time, but once I found Emulators, then not so much, being that it charged you a monthly fee to play some of the better games, which I couldn't do as a 12 year old kid or whatever I was back then. Discovered Snes emulators with Jurassic Park 2 and DKC, 2 games I played a lot as a kid via renting or friends, but never owned. Those games were my main drive of finding a way if I remember right.
Then of course I went back to EVG, and in transition here.
Re: What were you like when you became a member here?
I think I got my first emulator in 98 or 99, IMBNes for the Playstation, came fully equipped with the entire library. That was one of the best days of my life.
