I feel less good about this one. Too soon to do a remake of a period piece that came out only about 10 years ago.

Kind of like the upcoming Spiderman reboot...too soon, we literally just saw the movie.

BTW, if you haven't seen American Psycho....it is brilliant.

@Joz- You know what they say about assuming?

@Jim- I agree it's too soon. The Spiderman one is a little different though. That series died after the last dud. I heard they had Sam Raimi set to direct the fourth one but they decided to reboot to get rid of the stink from the previous failure.

I'm a huge Sam Raimi fan although I'm not sure what he is thinking by allowing Evil Dead to be remade. I was really hoping for a sequel.

I think we'd all rather see a sequel but maybe they figured that a sequel with old Bruce or without him wouldn't live up to the originals? Rebooting gives them a chance to start it over for a new generation. I wonder who the new Ash will be?

The good news is Raimi and Campbell were both involved in it and it looks pretty close to the original.

I generally hate remakes but I may have to give this one a go.
