I don't. It's nice to know that monsters are not always in fairy tales, but that they can exist in real life too. I want to be a monster when I grow up.

Re: MMA
After you read this post, would you shift your eyes just a bit to the left, now look at the little box with a picture in it, my avatar. Now look closely, that is why I wish Lesnar would have lost.
I do appreciate a good fight, regardless of the outcome.

Re: MMA
I know it's pathetic that I know this:
It is Zabuza from Naruto.
If I remember correctly he was the first major villain, he was also known as The Demon.
I was really into Naruto when it first came out, but then my interest in it faded when I realized how stupid the idea of a ninja wearing bright orange and shouting "Believe it!" after every sentence was.

Brocks lucky they didn't call that when he was on the ground defending. I gotta admit I thought it was over. Brock ftw. Sucks for Carwin first time out of round 1 and first loss. I bet we see a rematch.

I was expecting the same thing to happen DB. He took so much punishment in the 1st I thought it would be called any second. However, he never did go out. I was surprised to see that he had basically no ill effects at the beginning of the 2nd. Brock is definitely a beast.

I think that's why this is what I got for losing the bet.
I used to like Naruto quite a bit, but I was never extreme about it.

Re: MMA
That was a great fight. Lesnar got very lucky in that fight. It could of easily got called, as many other fights have been called for less. Lesnar is a beast but after that fight you can see he is not that great of a fighter. Just a good wrestler. He actually ran. Carwin owned him until he ran out of gas, which shows Carwin needs alot more cardio. I think there will be a quick rematch, hopefully insta-rematch like Rua-Machida, and Penn-Edgar.
For those who missed it. Second round is another video.

Re: MMA
Here's nearly the whole fight:
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLeYvYYqips]YouTube - Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin full fight round 1 and 2[/ame]
I think this fight could show that Brock is still learning, but I think it also may show that Carwin is very over hyped. He is an awesome striker. There's no question about that, but he may end up being just a one round fighter. It could be he is more or less the Butterbean of UFC. All you have to do is survive one, and then you can own him. If Brock can work on his standing game a bit, it might be tough for anyone to beat him.
Only time will tell. I would definitely watch a rematch between these two. Great fight.

Re: MMA
I would say Brock is just as over hyped if not more. I agree he is still learning but Carwin is far from his potential. For the longest time he was the only notable fighter in the ufc with a full time job. When I was training at T'sKO he would only be there for about an hour, while most fighters train 4-8 hours a day. I think Brock has a fear factor, he is huge, great athletisism, and really fast, but I dont think he knows what to do when he gets hit. I woldnt say he is like butterbean just because tons of fighters have gassed out trying to end a fight, regardless the weight class. Others like BJ penn just gassed out. I think if Brock was the one punching endlessly he would be just as gassed. Those are big guys.

Re: MMA
Great night of fights, I agree that the reason Carwin gassed was because he went full force for about 4 minutes straight, most fighter would have gassed. Bottom line both fighters ended up being exposed. Carwin exposed on if you can weather the storm then you can submit him, Brock exposed as being an incomplete fighter, who relies to much on his size and strength.
