Actually, thinking about it, the religion portion of your statement is up for debate. He did lay bibles at the feet of his son and wife after he killed them. Perhaps his faith in them going to a heavenly afterlife influenced his actions.

Yeah but I don't recall religion being mentioned as a motive. If anything I think the bibles thing was his attempt at redemption and a way to show his remorse. It may not make a lot of sense to us but we're also not brain damaged from steroids or w.e he was on.

Pretty sure the motive is still up in the air, and forever will be.

Re: Official Canada appreciation thread
Oh wow, I forgot about that. Yeah, I used to watch WWE, and I remember that quite clearly. On a side note quick, all the Canadian wrestlers happened to be my favourites usually. Namely Edge by far, as well as Jericho & Christian.
Benoit... Yikes, liked him, but not as much as the others, and when that came out, it was just unbelievable. I remember there was some flickering conspiracies that the guy Benoit dragged his wife away from exacted his revenge in that manner, but that's a far cry from the truth I'm sure. In reality, I'm sure diving off 20 foot ladders head first as a signature move could not help the Concussions in the slightest.
Watched a study on it a few years later when it happened to be on, on a road trip I was on with my grandparents. Concussion studies weren't actually super far-along until they actually decided to study Benoit's brain, fun fact. Enough concussions can actually change who you are, effect the ability to feel happy, and with enough of them, can cause the person to completely go psychotic. There was evidence of this with Benoit, and they further matched the studies to a bunch of football players off the 1970's CFL's Edmonton Eskimos, and found some similar instances from that team's players having believe it or not, had similar psychotic-tendencies from all of their concussions, and some who had done some gruesome crimes as well.
TL;DR, a quick memory jog and I was able to remember the documentary I had watched. This was aired on CBC, so it's probably news to some americans here. Figure better to go off that, than my memory of the matter. Give it a watch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsHNUpZhqUA
Fascinating stuff, but Concussions are no joke. They are horrible to a person, and football to this day is one of the leading concussion-causes. As such is a big reason I'm not big on football, even though I already wasn't to begin with.

Just rewatched the video. Must have remembered this from elsewhere, as it's not in the video. Just a bunch of NFLers were in this video for premature deaths and the such.

Re: Official Canada appreciation thread
Of course nothing is confirmed and never will be but I think it's plainly obvious that his brain damage and drug use(including booze) lead to this. They said his brain looked like the brain of an 85 year old with alzheimer's, that's hard to ignore.

Oh for sure, I think I remember seeing another report that he was likely about to die as well due to how messed up the brain was.

There is no question, being a professional wrestler is extremely taxing, and will more than likely cut your life short.

It's in the process of being counted. Though it looks like the East is going to decide everything, and the west of the country won't matter due to lack of seats. Regardless of the outcome, that process has always bothered me.
30 Liberal, 1 Conservative, 1 NDP seat at current.
300+ seats TBD.
I'm not harsh against any of the 3 really.
The Harper thing is a bit skewed. The guy himself I'm not convinced is bad. He's a puppet and a fall guy at the moment, who's been undermined by his own currently corrupt party. My prediction is that he loses, steps down and goes to another party, or just goes to a different job/retirement altogether. Don't blame him, because the country hates him and like I said, I'm not even convinced he's the evil currently in that party. I could be wrong, but from everything I've read that no one pays attention too, there has been a lot of questionable things happening within the conservative party itself that suggests some undermining.
My aunt said it best during the Alberta election. Sometimes one wins not due to popularity, but to vote someone else out. I think that's definitely present here considering how badly people are campaigning for Harper to be out.

Looks like Trudeau Jr. will be the next PM. I didn't vote because I didn't know who to vote for. I almost think Harper might have been the better option.

Yeah... I'll be honest, I was very much torn myself. Very skeptical of Trudeau after his father. My vote was more municipally than anything. Conservative guy has been in this city for like 40 years I guess and is a big part of the religious community in a religious city (Most churches per capita). He was promising to build 10 more churches if he wins... NDP girl was going to finally tax churches and put the money towards university so it didn't cost so much... Conservative guy won by a landslide again. So much for my university costing less.

I'm afraid those bad things you've heard are true, SH.
How bad can Harper be, you ask?
Well, he's bad enough to inspire this song, but pay close attention to the words flashing on the screen because they tell quite the story about how our country has been managed.
  < Double facepalm time.
Blue Rodeo - Stealin' All My Dreams
And more to my surprise, American citizen John Oliver {of HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver} has risked 6 months in a Canadian prison as well as a $5000 CAN fine by outright telling Canadians NOT to vote for Harper:
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Canadian Election
I'll finish by adding that this is the first time I ever saw stickers like these, and they are everywhere in Vancouver, since last year:

^ the mere fact these stickers exist speaks volumes about Canada's political situation, I think.

Nope sorry, this guy is a plant for the militant SJW, LGBT and Feminist agenda. Canada is now under their control. They plan on taking away the rights of the straight man. If you're not gay married by now you better watch out.

Yup, and too privileged. They've bumped gay guys out, and graciously accepted pedophiles in their place. I wish I was kidding.

What are you saying exactly? Are you saying that you don't support pedophiles? Or are you saying the SJWs don't support pedophiles?
