Everyone's taking a stab at this eventually - Public dedicated MC server

Hey guys. Figured this made more sense to move here.

First off, I understand if some of you want to bail on the early stages of this because it will be a bit of trial and error, but hopefully all runs smoothly.

Currently, I'm running bukkit on a dedicated server meant for 12 people max. Basically the most basic I could do for now. Trial run and all. (Will upgrade if interest is shown).

It's costing me 4.99 USD a month as it stands.

Please use this thread for all input. I actually know nothing about FTB but I can switch my server to that too, but I have a decent knowledge of bukkit from using it back in the day. Both just mod implementers, no? FTB is just for more advanced stuff?

Either way, looks like with bukkit. My plan is to start with a handful of mods, and add them as we go.

Again, any input on anything, feel free.

It won't be live for a couple hours yet probably as I literally just purchased and installed, but hey, more time for input.

Edit: By public, I just mean it's public. I'll be doing some livestreams on it and YT videos potentially, but I'll make sure to install some means of preventing the classic griefing.

Between all of you guys potentially active here alone there is a good 8 of us, as well as I probably have at max 8-10 friends that'll play. Realistically, probably like 3 of us from RU and 4 of my friends. Should be fine for now.

Edit: FTB costs more and I don't have access to it.
