- For games played on this site, the INP is captured. Just make sure you use the score mode emulator and hit F12 to submit when your final score is visible.
- If you are using MamePlus GUI (mamep.exe, I believe), you can right-click a game and say record input when launching it instead of double-clicking and just playing the game.
- I believe Wolfmame and regular Mame require a command-line entry to get them to record inputs. At least, that is the way I ended up doing it during IGBY.
I used a combination of all three and actual arcade gameplay in the last tournament, and it ultimately depends on your choice of emulator. I ended up using the MamePlus GUI for a bit just because it was the easiest to start an INP recording, but I have been using RU the most to avoid remembering which INP files to keep, delete, etc. Regardless, I also tried to stream as much of my gameplay as possible to show what I could do live and build credibility that I do indeed exist and actually played the games. Let us know if you can't figure out how to record an INP with the emulator of your choice, and we will help from there once we know which one you are using and where you are getting confused.
