'Shall we begin?'

This first one I based on a true story I once heard, which I have built upon to maximize the creepyness.

The Russian Cabbage Experiment

An experiment was conducted in Russia to see if plants sense fear.

Living cabbages with electronic sensory devices attached to them were set on tables in rows inside a locked room.
The cabbage room had a window on each side of it to allow the researchers to make observations and take notes on what they saw.
Once the normal levels of the plants' electronic activities were recorded, they proceeded with the experiment.

One of the researchers was sent into the room wielding a meat cleaver.
They looked around at the cabbages as though crazed ..

then viciously chopped one of the cabbages to pieces, while laughing maniacally.
MU ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!

Other researchers observing through the windows didn't report seeing anything unexpected, however, the electronic sensors picked up a distinct reaction from the cabbages to the entire event.

A few hours later, they sent that same researcher wielding the meat cleaver back into the cabbage room. . again, the person looked around the room at the cabbages with that same crazy look in their eye .. the sensors on the cabbages began going wild, burying the needle on their gauges!

Suddenly, all the lights went out, leaving the researchers in total darkness.

Then they heard a mighty ear - splitting screech, as though a pack of feral cats were fighting .. but since the lights were out it was impossible for the researchers outside to see what was happening in the cabbage room .. they tried to open the door but it was locked , and since the lights had gone out no one could find the key to open it, either ..

Researchers outside the room later reported they thought they heard the person inside the room yelling:

'No! Stay away! No! No! Please! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!'

, but it was barely audible above that terrible feline screeching .. they fumbled to get the lights back on to see what had happened, but found none of the switches worked.

They tried to organize a party to go down to the basement to check the circuit breakers, but by that time many of the researchers had run away into the darkness, screaming in horror ..

It was a full 3 minutes before someone finally found a flashlight and managed to make it back, with that cat - like wail still blasting forth from inside the cabbage room ..
A short time later the terrible wail diminished, then stopped.

The cabbage room was now completely quiet except for a strange shuffling sound coming from inside ..

One researcher with the flashlight found the courage to approach one of the windows looking into the cabbage room .. and when they shone the flashlight through the glass and looked inside, all their hair turned instantly white.

The other researchers recoiled in horror at seeing this, as an eerie moan issued from the throat of the researcher holding the flashlight .. then the other remaining researchers turned and had a look through the window into the cabbage room ..
