Old PC game, Side Scroller Kind of RPGish.

I dont remember a whole bunch of this game but i have been looking for it for a long time, i am 23 now i must have been about 7 or 8 when i played it.

it was a side scrolling game you play a little man i think he either had a leahter jacket or maybe he was a cave man lol far off i know.
you would need water or he would say(in text at the bottom of the screen)
"My throat is parched" thats like the only thing i can really remember.
you would need to eat, i was kinda dumb at 7 so i didnt really know what the objective of the game was. i think there were enemies that would come from the other side of the screen but i cant remember what they looked like.

i think this might be what im looking for but this guy didnt get an answer either.
