Hi, I'm Kevo. It's nice to see that Retro Uprising is still around. Over the past few years, I've watched a lot of sites just ... disappear into thin air. RU is one of the first gaming-related communities I ever visited back in 2007 I believe. I could have sworn it was called something different, however. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't recall for sure.

If I told you my Mii used to wear lipstick, some of you may know who I am. Man, I think this is my third account here -- my apologies for that. I'm not really sure what my previous accounts were named.

So, yeah, it's me. But don't worry, I'm not here to steal any members or cause any issues. I came here to talk to another member, but I did want to at least introduce myself. Who knows, I may even come here from time to time. I heard you guys have movie nights with free popcorn or something.

I see Dudebro has developed a bad case of acne and Winnebagel, who I don't know, is celebrating a birthday today. Happy birthday to him/her. I also see that Kong is still king and Tenser still reigns as the oldest member in the community. I'm pretty sure he does, anyway.

So, I'll probably pop in from time to time to check things out or play a game or two since my life has become a bit more predictable and routine.

A big let down? That's a broad statement. In what ways exactly? I mean, it's definitely not my favorite Nintendo console, but I did find quite a bit of enjoyment in a number of games.

So, I'm not really sure if you are trolling or just pulling my leg. Either way, it's fine.

I have nothing to hide expect the lipstick Mii, but that's already been referenced.

I don't mind Mario Kart, but I've become quite bored with Animal Crossing and Smash Bros. 3DS. Some of the better indie exclusives include: Affordable Space Adventures, Fast Racing NEO (December 2015), Runbow, and Typoman (2015). And wow, I guess there aren't as many Wii U exclusive indie titles as I thought. Have you played Splatoon?

Well mainly in the way it didn't motivate me to even consider getting it. With the exception of mobile and virtual boy I think I've owned every Nintendo console except the U. It seemed like the only appeal was more of the same Mario, Zelda and kids games. To be fair though I didn't feel motivated to buy the other two current gen ones but they at least tempted me.

Not for me anymore. I haven't played a Zelda game since N64. I like the series I'm just not into that genre(whatever it is). I've played most of the main Mario games but I never got into them really, not that into platformers either. I only play them when someone else wants to do some local coop. As for the ect games, Metroid and DK? Same.

With the U it just seemed like the only thing to get it for is Mario and Zelda. I got Mario Kart, Animal Crossing and Smash Bros on 3DS so there just isn't much for me. What are the exclusive indie games?

PreWii - I was interested in the games it had.
Wii- It had fun coop games and we decided to get it cheap on black friday. After the honeymoon wore off I didn't find much to play on it though.

Me too. I really like the ideas behind AC but with each new game it just feels like more of the same with very little in the way of innovation. I regret buying Smash because I was already burned out on fighting games and it did nothing to change that. I was hoping the simplistic(relatively) gameplay would help me over come my distaste for the genre but it didn't work. To be fair though I might've enjoyed it more if the screen wasn't so tiny, my old eyes just can't handle it I think.

I don't know how to reply to this without sounding snarky but I'm really not trying to be.
1. Looks beautiful but doesn't look particularly unique, besides the controls.
2. Is this not a sequel to F-Zero? It sure seemed like it when I watched some gameplay.
3. This looks almost exactly like an indie game I saw on Steam but with different artwork and colors. If I find the game I'll link it.
4. Looks like something I'd get on Steam but then never finish because platforming.

I'm probably spoiled by the enormous and vibrant indie scene on PC though.

Well, to be fair, Animal Crossing is boring. It's like a tenth the game Harvest Moon is and neither could hold a candle to the Rune Factory series.

I tried to get into HM but for some reason it just really bored me. It seems like the type of game I'd be into and I have no clue why it didn't click with me.

Now that I think of it I might've gave up on AC long ago if not for Gyroids. This most recent one really downplayed them and I was a lot less interested in the game, can't be a coincidence.

Animal Crossing was something special when it first came out, simply because that type of game didn't exist. It was new, cute and neat. Nowadays I don't see what people like, maybe small children who just like the cause and reaction of the various stuff you can do farting around town. HM bored me too, even the one with the dungeon and weapons and stuff. Rune Factory I think I'd like, is that the one with amazing amounts of content? Or is that Etrian Odyssey?
