Help me identify a game please

I had one of those moments today where I remembered an awsome old game I rented from my childhood but I can't remember the name to save my life.

Here's what I remember:

It was for the NES or SNES. I think SNES but not sure.
It was a platformer/side-scroller. (I think it even scrolled to the left...)
It had a midieval theme of castles archers knights and such.
The goal was to beseige a castle/fort with the troops you were given.
It played like lemmings in that the troops were quite small and would keep marching until commanded to stop.
The level was one long horizontal battle field that you could scroll all the way to the left, past a field, bridges, etc, and look in the other guys castle, then scroll back to your side and start the troops marching.
I think you began with a certain set number of troops, like 5 archers, 5 builders, etc.

Anyways this is all I can remember, but any help identifying this mother would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure thats King Arthurs World for snes. Check the page on wikipedia see if it seems familiar.
