Is it possible that Cartoon Network 'borrowed' the design for JB's character?

I think the fight scenes got better over time. It's hard to recover from that one you linked though. Who thought that was good to air on TV?
At least in this one the stuntmen and women do stuff. Also Riker gets pwned so that's cool.
