The business I work at use to issue these long sleeved, heavy, olive green labcoats. Needless to say, they suck, especially during the summer. About two months ago we finally convinced the plant manager to order us three lab techs better uniforms.
The manager originall tried to order us olive green button down long sleeved shirts with a badge on each breast. One badge with the company name and one badge with each of our first names. They looked exactly like mechanic's uniforms. After some coaxing he let us pick out the shirts under the condition that they be olive green (company's color). We ordered some real nice golf polos that were speckled green and white and only had the company name on them and not our first names.
Well a couple of days ago they finally arrived. To our horror we found out that the manager had ordered pants as well for the new lab tech uniforms.
Olive green, polyester pants...
Oh the horror.
