OK, I decided to make my own video game statistic, and I decided to apply it to what I consider popularly contested games that are available at R.U.. It's a point reward system, and it goes like this.
The formula is Total Number of submissions divided by the rank of the player.
So for instance say there are 20 submissions, the first ranked player would get 20 points; 20/1=20. The second ranked player would get 10 points; 20/2=10. The third ranked player would get 6.7 points; 20/3=6.7.
And so on, and so on.
I put restrictions on my formula. Only scores that were in the top 50% would be counted. So a person with a 10th place score on a 20 submission game would get points, but a person with an 11th pace score on a 20 submission game would not get any points because that person was not in the upper half of scores.
Next I rounded up, and I rounded down to the nearest tenth.
These were the games I chose to calculate the top 50 players. I totaled up the point total from this list of games. I picked games that were made from 1978 to 1985. I picked games that were either popular or strongly contested.
So here is the game list. Some games did not have a score tracking system at R.U., and so I couldn't use them.
