I'm actually not sure if this is sarcastic, and it's made me rethink the topic.
People may actually be saying (with their mouths) "Snes" (not as an acronym) around Steven Cassidy. I could understand the topic a bit more if this is the case.
I had earlier assumed that he was referring to how it was written, due to the fact that he capitalized the non acronym version.
Oh if that's the case then put me down for neither. If I'm talking about it I say super nintendo. If I did wanna shorten it I'd say s.n.e.s, saying that as a word sounds stupid.

Same here.
I say we restart the poll, change "SNES" to "Snes", add the word "verbally" somewhere in Steven's first post, and add "Super Nintendo" to the poll.
I voted SNES, thinking you were talking about typing it. I pronounce it Super N.E.S. or Super Nintendo. Perhaps you should have replaced "say" with "pronounce" in your question and that would have avoided the confusion.
"My mind is my weapon. My brother has his sword, King Robert has his warhammer and I have my mind... and a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge. That’s why I read so much, Jon Snow."
I voted not thinking but I say super nintendo and every once in a while s.n.e.s. If I'm around my nerd buddy's that know what I mean I'll even just say super. If we're talking original I always say N.E.S.
