You know what?
I'm getting ahead of myself, and thought this ban was already in effect in a lot of places.
Apparently it's only in effect in certain areas {Santa Clara County in California is to be the proving ground it seems}, but this article suggests it may become a nationwide ban:

This one says it's coming to NYC, where I already reported they want to ban salt in restaurants:

The point is that there seems to be a movement starting against the toys in the happy meals on the grounds that they encourage kids to make unhealthy choices, and the battle cry is against childhood obesity and the costs to the healthcare system it could bring.
{which seems like sort of a silly argument coming out of the U.S.; aren't you guys forced to pay almost every cent out of your own pockets for medical care? Now, I could see this argument taking hold in Canada where we have free universal healthcare with few exceptions ...}
