Retronauts Live Episode 25: The PlayStation 2

Hey, we're back with another episode! This time, we tackled the PlayStation 2 with the help of our lovely audience; sort of a broad topic, but perfect for generating a variety of discussions -- even though most of you guys (understandably) really wanted to talk about the PS2's Renaissance of sheer weirdness. Maybe it's because not enough time has passed, but I get the sense that our industry hasn't retained their sense of fondness for Sony's last console; and in the wake of the Wii's domination, it's hard to remember a reality where Sony ruled the earth (especially in light of their recent fumblings). If we didn't quite quench your PS2-related thirst, Jeremy wrote a great retrospective on the system for its 10th anniversary, so check that out if you haven't seen it yet. Anyway, enjoy!

Oh, and there's this:

And if you missed it, Joe from Milwaukee's video series "Same Name, Different Game" is definitely worth watching. Check out his take on the differences between the NES and TG-16 versions of Super Dodge Ball if you have some free time.

Next week, we'll be talking about the foggy streets of Silent Hill -- oh, and the games as well. I'm currently knee-deep in a feature on the subject, and for this episode we're going to have a special guest who really knows their stuff. It's a topic I've always wanted to do, and now I can thanks to the power of podcasting. At times, the world can be fair.

If you'd like us to read your letter on the show and/or feature your envelope art on our blog, write to:
