Re: Superpowers
Know what power I would pick? PSI, even though it's not on the list. With PSI, you can do tons of stuff, including teleportation.

Self detonation?! Why the heck would anyone want that power?!

And, with PSI, if someone fires a bullet at you, you could use PSI magnet to absorb the bullet and heal yourself!

Re: Superpowers
@DB's video. Is Wolverine supposed to have super strength? Why can he throw someone, that is partially made out of metal, 30 feet?
I think he would be a cooler character if all he had was healing and maybe claws. The super strength is lame.

Re: Superpowers
Quote:

Wolverine's mutant healing factor enables him to push his muscles beyond the natural limits of the human body without injury, granting him some degree of superhuman strength. His natural strength is augmented by the demand placed on his musculature due to the presence of over 100 pounds of Adamantium bonded to his skeleton, which also removes the natural limitations of the human skeletal structure by allowing him to lift weights that would damage a human skeleton. Wolverine has been depicted with sufficient strength to break steel chains
|
So technically he was normal strength before the procedure but he was able to safely push past his limits. With his bonded skeleton he's able to go far beyond normal human range.

I don't know lol, I laughed pretty hard when I got that one.
And the next one will be.....
Fear Inducement - Superpower Wiki
eh, better than exploding, seems like an evil power I would not really care for though.

Re: Superpowers
Self detonation is actually the trigger for the big marvel civil war story arc recently. A mutant named Nitro exploded himself and killed several good guys and his own team, and a preschool or similar. That caused the government to force mutants to register and reveal their identities. That lead to Captain America being killed.
It may not be the best power but it's pretty devastating. It almost killed wolverine-

I rolled for another power, got Reanimation again. Tried again, got Enhanced Jump - Superpower Wiki
Looks better than the double jump, for sure. Now I can leap tall buildings in a single jump!

Re: Superpowers
Okay, so I'm going to roll a few times, just for fun.
First Roll:
Energy Constructs - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
|
The power to craft complex solid structures from surrounding energy. A variation of Energy Manipulation.
|
I could live with that.
Card Manipulation - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
The power to control inert deck of cards. Partial power of Molecular Acceleration.
It isn't necessary to have any form of power to manipulate cards. However in order to push this ability to its maximum effect it does certainly help to have such an ability.
Usually one using Card Manipulation is known for either throwing cards with supreme accuracy, creating tools (weapons in some cases) out of cards, building giant card houses, or controlling cards like puppets (see Puppet Mastery for further detail on this topic).
|
Kind of cool, I like cards.
Lie Detection - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
The power to detect lies. Not to be confused with Telepathy. Also known as Intuitive Polygraphy and Mendacity Detection.
The user can sense the presence of lies from a person. Can’t distinguish truth as if by mind-reading, users simply are aware of truth.
|
Not even kind of cool. I'm already good at telling the difference between truths and lies.
Death Inducement - Superpower Wiki
That was a good roll.
Time Manipulation - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
|
The power to control time with the mind. Also known as Temporal Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, Tempokinesis, or Chronokinesis.
|
As cool as that could be, I'd rather not have the ability to manipulate time.
Bone Manipulation - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
|
The power to manipulate the growth of the user's own skeletal structure. Also known as Osteokinesis or Extraskeletal Manipulation.
|
That would suck, big time. Tearing through my muscle and skin just to gain claws or something.
Solar Manipulation - Superpower Wiki
Might be kind of cool, sometimes.
Light Generation - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
|
The power to generate photons of light from one’s body. Also known as Light Emission or Luminescence.Partial power of Light Manipulation.
|
When I was younger, I always thought it would be cool to glow in the dark. Now that I think about it, it might not be so cool. I guess I could blind people or something.
Shadow Mimicry - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
|
The mutative power in which one’s physiology and anatomy becomes that of a shadow. Also known as a Shade or Umbral Physiology or Umbrakinesis.
|
I've always wanted to fade into the shadows, I'd like this power.
Blood Manipulation - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
|
The dark sinister power and ability to control and manipulate blood, of oneself or of others. Not to be confused with Water Manipulation, which is the basis of this dark ability. Also known as Haemokinesis, Hematokinesis, Sanguine Manipulation, or Bloodbending.
|
So long as I didn't go too far and cause myself to bleed out, this would be cool. At the very least, it would scare the crap out of people. I'd assume I'd have the ability to manipulate blood in general, not just my own.

Look at that, that is frightening.
---------- Post added at 04:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:07 PM ----------
I didn't realize I rolled so many times. I was really bored.

Re: Superpowers
If I get one that's already been posted here (if I remember it being posted), then I'll roll again.
Reanimation - Superpower Wiki
Don't care for this one.
Perspicuity - Superpower Wiki
Oh, Geck no! Look at who holds this power in the tv/book/movie list:
Quote:
Isabella Marie "Bella" Swan (Twilight Saga)
Deadpool (Marvel)
Gambit (Marvel)
Magneto when wearing his helmet (Marvel)
Juggernaut when wearing his helmet (Marvel)
Jeb Batchelder (maximum ride book series)
René/The Hatian (Heroes)
Maury Parkman (Heroes)
Bane (DC Comics)
Joshua (No Ordinary Family)
|
No thankyou, the twilight freak has this one so no. :P

Re: Superpowers
Arachnidan Mimicry - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
|
The user is able to manifest into a specific variation of arachnids such as spider species (exotic spiders), tarantulas, scorpions, mites or ticks. Some users may start with silk production from their fingertips, then extra eye manifestation, abdomen, and then eight leg growth. Can scale walls and secrete poison.
|
Sounds good to me, if I get just Spiderman's powers, without the creepier stuff.

Re: Superpowers
Chronolock - Superpower Wiki
Quote:
The divine titanically powerful ability in which one exists outside of space and time.
User is allowed the immensely powerful ability to exist outside of time and space, if time should stop then the user would not be affected. If reality would change, the user would remember both the previous and have knowledge of differences from the old to the new. If the area around the user explodes or the planet which he/she is on vanish or does not exist any more the user is not affected since they don't exist inside space.
|
I'll take it.

Re: Superpowers
Users of the ability "Chronolock" exist outside of time and space. If you stop time, a user would be unaffected. If the planet were destroyed, the user would still be unaffected, as he doesn't exist in space in the same way you or I do.
In essence, you exist outside of the world, outside of this reality. That is why it is such a great power. While I am part of this reality, this reality can be destroyed without affecting the user.
---------- Post added at 02:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:36 PM ----------
Basically, you don't exist like a character in an MMO, but you exist like a player of that MMO, you continue living, even if the MMO is shut down.
