When you signed up to Reto Uprising you had to accept the rules. I know most people don't read the agreements when you sign up for anything. So I am asking you to read them again. Read and follow all of the Rules. They are not that complicated.

If anybody breaks the rules I will give you a PM to this topic to make sure you have read the rules. If you break the rules again you will be banned. You will only get one warning.

Some of the more frequently broken rules are:

Do not attempt to enforce these rules yourself. If you find someone has broken a rule, then inform a moderator and they will take care of it.

No "Flaming" or "Trolling". Don't fight. Do not hold grudges.

Keep all posts to a PG-13 level. Do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist or discriminatory.

Do not try to get around the previous rule by using substitutions like @#$% or {beep} or WTF. Instead use a thesaurus and find an acceptable replacement.

Do not use "13375p34k" or "hukt on fonikz". This is not an AOL chat room.

No "Spamming". Do not post for the sake of increasing your post count.

Stay on topic. If you want to talk about something different then start a new thread or find an appropriate thread.

Use common sense. Be a positive force in our community.

We are all here to have fun so enjoy yourself, keep it clean and happy gaming!

Don't start a new thread if a thread already exists for the same topic.

Don't post chain letters.

If you make multiple accounts, you better have a good reason and be prepared to explain it to a mod. A good reason is "me and my brother use the same computer." A bad reason "I created a second account so I could flame myself and hopefully receive sympathy from the other users." Both of these are real excuses that I have been given. The person that flamed themselves was banned.

Do not be overly sensitive. It is sometimes difficult to tell what the other person's attitude is when you can't see or hear them. Often people assume someone is being mean on the Internet when they are not. Don't get upset so easily. The problem is usually just a miscommunication.

Don't make the mods have to work extra hard just to take care of you.

Don't fight with the mods. If they tell you to do something, then do it or log off.

I don't know if I am to post here, but I would just like to thank you, Kong. Thanks for creating such a great site.

I would suggest (to keep things nice and clean for everyone) that you try to integrate a forum program into the forum so that bad posted words will be censored. I believe such a program exists, and if you type something bad, say, BAD, it will replace it with *** or something else. This exists, I believe, so you may wish to integrate this. Thanks again! ;D

I personally find the **** thing insulting. Everyone reading **** knows something was removed and they probably can figure out the word that was removed and they probably still say the word to themselves and they probably think about it even more just because they had to spend an extra second to figure out was removed. And everyone that types a word knows that their words were edited.

i think he means edit the curseword into the actual thing.

though in my oppinion, i like the rules, though i think cursing should be allowed as long as its not directed to anyone.

I personally think cursing is over used and anything over used is lame. But other than that I have no problem with it. However a video game site is naturally going to attract lots of children and children have parents that often disagree with the above statement. So to keep this a "kid friendly site" cursing is prohibited. Otherwise iwe could be flagged by Internet filters as an adult site. I don't want that. We already are flagged as a video game site which Internet filters offer as an option to block.

but why do they have an option to block if we are a video game site? i can always advertise on some sites but the bad of that is getting many spammers that i think would ruin RU.

Just a question, was that person who had 2 accounts to flame himself for pity Aqua_Hedgehog? He did the exact same thing at evg, we're guessing that he's about 4 years old and has the maturity of a chimp.

lol, does someone really think that doing something like glamming themselves with create pity? i would think common sence would dictate that doing that would just create resentment and breed a heavy dislike of the user, but anyway i know swearing is a bit over used, i've been acused of it myself, but that happened to, free-will, watching what your kids do, and just because you see it doesn't make it a big deal, can someone explain this to me a bit more, the gears in my head are grinding, but somethings not clicking into place

I think what Timber Wolf is trying to say is, what is the big deal about swearing. The idea behind it is that if you have to use those words, you're basically a mouth-breather (thank you Colin Cowherd for the term) wasting valuable oxygen that could be used to feed a rational brain. If you can't get the emphasis across without swearing, don't say it.

@Timber Wolf - your fine in your posts, but the more concise you make it, the more questions that might arise from what you post. You may know full well what you're saying, but 99% of us might not because, well, we're not you.
