Some good gifts for the winter time are video game related sweatshirts. Also if you know someone who collects various things, plushies are a good thing to buy for them.

Edit: Yeah you need to carry a freaking cable around with you too, kinda defeats the purpose of the key chain.

From a picture I saw elsewhere, it's a cable with a connector that goes into the top of the controller and a a/v cable with only yellow and white. Doesn't look like it'd fit inside the controller to me.
