How long did it take for you to receive an email confirmation from Club Nintendo? I tried purchasing the game today but did not get an immediate email confirmation request.

I've double checked to ensure they have my correct email and that it did not go into my spam folder.

Correct, not every boss gives a coin, some give parts for Funky to make new boats.

It is indeed on the floating isle in Mekanos, but I will let you figure out how to get there (or just watch video 6/8) =P.

Each stage has 1-3 bonus stages, and 1 DK coin. If you get all of the bonus stages, then the flag at the end of the stage will be fully extended, and the stage name will end with an "!" exclamation mark. If you get the DK coin then a small yellow pennant will fly over the flag on the map screen. When you get all of the bonus stages/DK coins in the world, then the flag on the main world will also show this effect.

There is no indicator for the banana birds though, you have to keep track of those on your own. Gears you automatically get in the Lost World so don't worry about those.
