Conker's Bad Fur Day
Curious of thoughts and opinions on this game.
I got it the other day after I thought I never would again due to the extreme cost, but turns out 4 of my friends know me well, and went together on it for christmas for me.
I haven't played the game personally in years, and I was young when I did. I never got by the Terminator Haystack as a kid, but played most of the game through the chapters.
Obviously going to play it again right away here, but I'm curious, what's everyone's favourite moments of the game, and also the hardest?

I remember getting to the part where you have to bounce on a flower's boobs and thinking to myself; "This is really boring."
It just seemed that the comedy was a real miss with me which is odd because I love perverse humor.

I found the van helsing part the hardest, that and the dino/gladiator part. The xbox version has the same story mode but with updated graphics, but I prefer the N64 multiplayer.

Just got by that part, well that, and then the terminator part. I noticed that the "bring 3 cheese slices to the mouse" and "find 5 groups of bees for the sunflower" segments were pretty tedious, but at least collecting the bees shows off the section of the game almost entirely. The only 2 tedious collecty parts that come to mind though, and they aren't that bad unless you die twice like I did with the bees.
I can't personally say what's the most difficult. I never made it by the Terminator part as a kid. So, this is all new to me now. At least in terms of playing the game properly through. I just clicked chapters of the game as a kid like I said.
I remembered having issues with a lot of parts, but I was young, and I didn't have the controller I have today. That thing has been a great help.
Additionally, the jokes have had me laughing pretty much the full way through so far.

The xbox version censored most things from my understanding. I never played the story mode in that one. I actually enjoyed the multiplayer in that game as well. Both game's multiplayer modes were great.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day
Well I rented it that same year it came out during the summer right before July 4th because previously I had rented Paper Mario .
I didn't make it past the Jurassic Park scenes because my cousins wanted me to work with them out of town. so the game is a 9/10
My favorite part is actually the Jazz Band playing at the start .
You just don't know what to expect whats ahead of you
Ah the sweet indoor summer memories

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day
It starts off pretty great. I feel like it slows down more the longer you play.
The ending is pretty depressing. It makes me think that the developers knew that the Rareware studio was falling apart, which was pretty much evident to everyone a few years later.

I only really felt the zombie area was lacking. The Saving Private Ryan segment was one of my favourites, as well as the matrix. Prehistoric one is pretty good too.
That's some good insight though. Really wish this one had a sequel, and supposedly there was one in the works. Too bad, eh?
I also don't want to jinx anything, but I wonder if people had issues with this game because of the controller? When they say it's difficult that is. I've been breezing through for the most part with my Retro-bit controller. Playstation-style control stick really helps. Swimming through the propellers was where I died the most I think, and that was like 3 deaths. Other than that, I beat the might poo in 1 try, terminator in 1 try, bulldog in one try, whatever that fire-oven thing was in 1 try. 2 tries for the underwater maze. So far so good! Really enjoying it still.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day
It didn't seem like the Xbox version was any more censored. Maybe it was but I don't remember.
The one thing that I will always remember about the N64 multiplayer is going to the bathroom and killing people by pissing on them.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day
Okay, so kind of posting as I go here again, not unlike I did with Banjo, but that I hadn't played before.
First off, I haven't seen whatever movie The Uga Buga campaign was referencing. Same with the Zombies/Vampire one. Not sure if those last 2 are the same movies, but I was able to get the vampire references without seeing whatever it was, based off normal dracula/non-crummy vampire fiction like the invited through the door thing, stakes, etc. The normal stuff. So yeah, what are those 2 or 3 things referencing?
Also, still no issues. I'm no ace of platformers, but I'd heard nothing but complaints when it came to this games difficulty (outside this forum). I've seriously not died more than 2 or 3 times usually on any one given obstacle or boss. Pretty nice, I will admit, to not have the frustration anyways. Certain things took me 1 try like the entire gladiator thing, mighty poo, terminator, villager killings, bee hive 2nd time through. This is not at all a bad thing, I'm loving every bit of the game, I just don't understand the difficulty complaints I guess.
Anyways, still thinking this is an A+ title all the way through. I wasn't looking forward to the zombie/vampire part, but it's been surprisingly fun. Minus the zombies. Controls a bit difficult, but dominant strategy is just camp on top of a tombstone or something of the like. Up to that part right now. Just killed Dracula... or Squirrelula or whatever it is haha.

Re: Conker's Bad Fur Day
yeah, I looked up what the references were. Was tried and didn't think of that. Gladiator stuff was gladiator. They never really covered the hoverboard thing though.
