2008 High Score Assassins Contest

The Rules
Beat a high score from 2008 and you will automatically receive points in this contest.
You can find old high scores on this list Oldest High Scores
You will receive 1 point for every day old the score is. Example if the score was set 900 days ago then you will receive 900 points.

The reason for this contest:
We have the ability to verify that any score set after June of 2010 did not use any cheating. There are a couple thousand first place scores that were set before that date. Most of those old scores are legit but a few of them did cheat or otherwise break the rules. Also there were different score rules back then that are in conflict with some of the modern rules.

We don't want to just delete all of those scores but we also don't want people competing against what might not be a legit score.

So I am creating this contest to see which scores seem impossible and which scores we can assassinate.

Since these old scores can't be fully verified, if no one beats these score and it looks like a rule of some sort was broken, then the score will be deleted.

The prize:
Whoever has the most points will receive this traveling badge next to their username

The final winner will receive a USB Sega Saturn Boomerang PC Controller.

I'm a little confused...I beat the high score on Mortal Kombat 5 turbo..but I kept going afterwords thinking that the scores were limitless....as a result the last game I had I won then I got the yoko screen afterwords o.0 (guess that means I won) is there a way to retrieve my score or do I need to do it again for it to count?

Welcome Bunnyformoney! You would need a submission with the screenshot of the actual score showing for it to count. So yes you would need to do it again.

Assuming the screenshot you submitted is a screen from a won game you would get Mastery for that though.

64 is possible. It is tricky because if you capture all the computer pieces before the end then it wont give you full points.

This game is very odd. I could not find out how to get inside the elevator. I did the spaceship mission in hopes of getting something, but I got nothing that would help me get inside the elevator o.o

I hate to say this but I am going to have to call unintentional farming on this one both with the existing score and yours. To get past this level you need to use the springs to move Stimpy to the elevator. If you read the intro text it tells you this.

I played through making that the goal and I only played ship shoot-em-up part once (you have to play it once to get by that area) and when I got to the next level Western I had just over 100.000 points. I suspect the original score like you didn't figure out what to do right away (but did eventually.) and kept replaying the ship shoot-em-up which runs up the score.

Note you have to pause in this game to see your score.

@Kong- The new set of highscores are wrong. The first link says "Old High Scores" and then set by Tenser when the one below it is an actual game which Tenser has the high score but it says a different user.
Basically, should be this:

How do you get a score on Rocket Knight Adventures 2. I got through like 3 levels and didn't see any score and when I lost all my lives I still didn't see a score o.o

It looks like you only see a score after you finish a level
