New Year's Bash

Entry fee: 250 points. Points will be deposited into the prize pot.

Contest duration: Starts now. Ends Midnight January 6th, 2008 EST.

Registration deadline: Midnight December 31st, 2007 EST.

Goal: Whoever has the most high scores in the games selected for the contest will win a badge and the prize pot.

Rules: Each player may post up to 5 games before the registration deadline. The posted games must be high score compatible but NOT yet have score recording enabled. I will enable high score recording for the posted games. During the contest everyone will fight for the high score in all of the posted games. So it is in your advantage to post eligible games that you are particularly good at. The games may be for any of the high score systems - NES, SMS, Genesis, GG, Coleco or TG-16 but NES, SMS, and Genesis have very few games that have not yet been checked for high score compatibility so most eligible games will come from GG, Coleco and TG-16.

Sudden death: In the event of a tie, the contest will continue until the tie is broken.

No and no. You can post between 0 and 5 games. The one's I posted were just examples. Someone else can post those if they want.

I will be joining and the 5 games I post will be new games to the site for Genesis and NES.

Double Dragon 3 and Link Dragon do not have scores and Genji Tsushin Agedama and Soldier Blade have errors on the second stage. All were removed.

I entered link dragon into the competition after just playing it a little bit and just now tried to play it. I just realized you don't get any points in that game. It should be removed from the competition. All of these games work for at least the first 5 minutes - that is as far as I have tested some of them.

Try closing all open web browser windows, wait 10 seconds, then try dig dug again. That will most likely fix the problem. If not try rebooting. And if that does not fix it then let me know.

For Cut Throat - the first was very easy. The second took a lot of practice and memorization. I got lost on the third level and couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. I was just wondering around in circles I think. I got bored and quit.
