After a decade of demand, the legendary 3 on 3 combat returns in Marvel vs.
Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds to be released in Spring 2011.

However, Resident Evil character Chris Redfield is the first newcomer announced.

All I'd like to see is Frank West and Viewtiful Joe back in Capcom vs.

I'd like to seeX, Zero and Sigma come into the roster. I didn't really like DMC and I never played whatever game Frank West came out in...something with zombies right? Dante would be a good character for this game though. The gun and sword combo is somthing that would give him some interesting combos. West sounds like he would be a bit too much like Jill. Besides isn't Leon jumping on board?

Thay have almost nothing in common aside from summoning zombies.

I don't know about Leon if Chris is in.
Leon is the better character of the 2, in my opinion of course.

Wesker would be awesome in a game like this, but they would have to tone down the awesome, just like they're gonna have to tone down CHRIS REDFIELD'S BICEPS, otherwise the game will break(probably why they didn't add Barry in).
I agree with steven, I'm not liking the 3d graphics(2.5 if it makes you happy). It just doesn't seem right. Marvel needs to buy the right to use Nemesis in this game, because a demon-looking wizard thing would just add the the comic-book awesome that's all-ready there.

Well The main chars I use in MVc2 are Felicia, psylock, Ken, jill, strider, ryu, and akuma. I also want an option for amount of fighters..Simul co-op maybe? ((that way my little sis and I could play at the same time. My only problem with MVc2 was not having a single fighter option.. I missed the classic Arcade feel of one on one combat^^. I enjoy 3-3 combat, but would like a 2-2 or 1-1 option available.

Also, I'm starting to think I'm the only one who doesn't like MvC2 who is a huge fan of the 2d fighter genre. It reminds me of a mugen game, most of the sprites are from old games (children of the atom etc).

Xmen vs Street fighter I liked a lot better. To be far, the only version I have played is the PS3 re-release. I really think it sucks.

On the bright side they included Chris Redfield. If they throw in Ace Attorney I might have to take back my comments.

Jill was NOT bad in MVC2. Just kind of tricky to learn.

And @DB, I disagree completely. I played Vega in Street Fighter 4 even though he's awful in it, and I think he is a stupid character. He's overly feminine, he yodels too much, and he has 2 moves that do literally nothing (removing his claw and removing his mask). I just like the way he plays, so I've stuck with him this whole time.

Fighting games would be no fun if everyone was always the best characters. Which is why I don't like playing SF4 online. Eveyone is Ryu, and it gets boring fighting Ryu over and over.

Jill Valentine was my favorite MvC2 Character. Her, Cable and Cyclops had the most devastating Team Finisher EVER if you used their projectile types. Also, Vega Was my Favorite Character on SF and still is because it was heck trying to master his skill, so when i finally did, he became my fav. well, he and Bison are tied.

He's alright, I just don't think he'd be too great an addition to the series, seeing as there are already a few gun-wielding characters to be included.

His inclusion isn't too bad, I've seen worse characters be added to fighting games.
I'd like to see a "Marvel vs. Capcom vs. Mortal Kombat vs. DC" game. They'd be divided to two different teams, probably Marvel & Mortal Kombat vs. Capcom & DC. The story would have to be about one of those being formed, and the other two have to work together to take them down, I don't know, I'm just throwing out ideas.

In MK vs DC the DC characters got something similar to a fatality but it was called like overkill or w/e. I guess they didn't want superman ripping out spines.

It looks like every character now has a short air dash to balance out against flying type characters like Iron Man. I also noticed that there is a type of combo breaker for air combos. I like the way the game looks and I am not disappointed.

Long silver hair and what he wears means nothing when it comes to character development. I'm not a fan of cockiness but I can agree that it's usually a positive quality for an action hero. Over the top moves and gambling don't do anything for me.

The katakana in the image would sound like "-----stick Four" because the first part was cut off. I find this a bit iffy as evidence, hmm... an article online claiming to have gotten the information about the article second hand, and article which may or may not exist, and may or may not be completely fabricated. Look at the Silver Surfer's face, now look at Dr. Doom's face, notice how similar their features are. Also notice how oddly shaped the Silver Surfer's head is, almost like someone tried to make the shape quickly to fit the face, but the way the face is compared to the head-shape and angle it looks face. The side of the Silver Surfer's face to our right, is almost the exact same shape as the shape of the side of the next guy to his right's face. Of course I could be wrong and over-analyzing this, but it is just what I see.

I hate Cable. Freakin keep away king of the game made it very boring and I would simply refuse to play people who played with Cable by telling them they were being gay, the south park definition of gay, and would simply not do anything and wait for that person to iether leave or they chose different characters. Sentinel and Magneto were two more that truly annoyed with pretty much fail safe attacks patterns that didn't allow you to do much. I really hope none of these characters make it on the MvC3 roster and that they balance out properly so that people can play most of the characters so that I won't be stuck playing people using the same 4 to 6 characters. That killed it for me at the arcades. Everyone played with these particular team combinations. Sentinel, Magneto and Cable/Strom/Tron Bonn and that's pretty much it. It gets really boring when you only fight against the same characters all the time. I mean come on! The roster had over 50 characters and you only saw a handfull. Did I mention that I hate Cable. I don't even have cable television I hate him so much.

If they release it as DLC, people will pay one or two dollars to download him.
Marvel and Capcom make money.
Both Marvel and Capcom want to make money, thus this is the logical decision from a business standpoint.

That's why whoever made Call of Duty Modern Who Gives a Damn made so much money.
Every now and then they release an overpriced DLC that an insane amount of people buy.

I am not going to be the least bit upset if Silver Surfer isn't in. The point is that I don't think he will be in, therefore I am just stating that he hasn't been announced at all, despite the nature of the article that made it seem like a sure thing.

Now I'd assume they would have announced someone big like the Silver Surfer by now, barring the situation where he is DLC released after the game.

Why couldn't they do Gouken or Rufus? They were much better characters.

A silhouette doesn't necessarily mean the character will be in the game.

I'd rather see Victor, Bishamon or Lord Raptor from Darkstalkers myself.

This is as more than just an appearance in the background of a stage like Lord Raptor was in the first one.

I would love to see some Darkstalkers characters in this game that weren't in 2. I never liked Anarkis or Morrigan. BB Hood is cool, but I'd be happy to trade her for really any of the rest of the DS characters.

Yeah, he's pretty awesome, he had lightning fast moves.
Dimitri was cool too, but he was rejected. He was the main character of Darkstalkers too.

I think Demitri got rejected because he is pretty much the same as Ryu/Ken/Akuma/Sakura/Dan/Goken/Sean, most of which are more popular than Demitri.
Also: I earlier mentioned how I'd like to see Huitzel and Jedah, so I'm going to post theirs as well.
