Well, the rumors are saying the Marvel character will be She-Hulk or Silver Surfer and the
Capcom character will be either Mike Haggar or Frank West.

Capcom will announce the new characters and features at 7:15 EST

Okay, so how many more characters are there slated to be?
One will have to be a variant of Megaman, because that is how it works.
I don't know who all has been announced, but here's who I want to see, and am expecting.
Haggar would be cool, but probably just a Zangief clone
Captain Commando
Frank West might be cool
Jin Saotome
The Punisher, though he probably won't be in
Batsu Ichimonji, from Rival Schools
Lord Raptor, from Darkstalkers

I'm guessing this via logic that Zero is in and maybe original Megaman.

The reason I say this is, Tron's theme is the Megaman Legends Main Theme, thich they'd give
to Volnut if he was in. Also, they randomly announced Megaman X is out, which knowing
Capcom is to get representation from muliple Megaman games, aka Zero. Which leaves me to
believe the Megaman is most likely the original one.

I don't think Haggar will be a Zangief clone, they have some moves that are the same, but not
all of them are, for example, while Zangief has a sweeping poke, Haggar has a clothesline.

Frank West was in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and is very popular in the United States, so I
would expect him in too. Just watch his TvC trailer:

I was thinking it would be Zero as well for Megaman, it just made sense to me, no particular reason.
I'm thinking that Haggar could be a Zangief clone in the way Ken is a Ryu clone nowadays, a few different moves and a different style focus.
Ken is faster and more physically based, and I'm thinking that Haggar would be more focused on grappling than Zangief is, seeing as Haggar was in a wrestling game before, and his grappling is what set him apart from Cody and Guy.

Frank West appearing seams reasonable.

which I find very odd because who would that third character be in that picture...

All I have is an over an hour long video source from Wikipedia, that I won't bother to watch.

So they're leaving out Sagat, Akuma and Ken? I know they're very similar fighting styles but all three are also SF icons. What a strange move. They have a bunch of lame characters they should axe but they go with three fan favorites.
The roster just isn't looking good, with all the characters not in, that should be in, and all the lame characters in, but should not be.

Oh good. Im glad the smple controls are there.. So my sis wll be able to play too lol. Hey I know, long time no post eh? but still.. Im glad the character themes are back, and that most of them are remixes of original themes^^ Im also seriously bummed Ken sn't there.. I just like him more cause of his attitude when fighting. I get that Ryu is the hero and yadda yadda, same combat style yadda. But Ken always seemed to just, I dunno.. have more fun. So far the roster look s really good, and im looking forward to hearing the rest of the characters. d liek Zero to show up, after all he already has a 3d set up thanks to Tatsunaku, they would just need to recolor a little bit lol. I also keep hearing about DLC.. and the possibility of 2-2 1-1 combat^^. Which was probably my only gripe about MVC2.. some times.. I just wanted to play with one char. ((Its why I love Mugen. I have choices dam it! I have the option of playing on char and taking on groups of chars ^^. I always lose but its still fun XD. I won it once playing Holy ken XD Love that character.. Ken's attitude and Ryu's super beam^^ WIN!
But I am happy to hear that teh game will have simple controls. IF its really smash bros style that would be even better. (Normal button, Special button.)

Ex smash bros ryu
special: charge hadoken
> special hurricane kick
^ special shoryuken. (Would be seen as a recovery move)
V special counter or charge energy.
the above is just an idea of how it Might work.. Least thats whats in my head.

Im also hopping online becomes easier. Im sick of always getting pwned by people, so id like a better ranking system, so that I can fight and eventually get up to "wow I lost and never got a chance to attack.. hmm." (you know, like virtual fighter, 1st dan.. 2nd dan.. that type of thing.)

If MVC2 did a pointless 'bone claw wolverine' why cant they add BOTH versions of Zero here? I mean come on that would be freaking awesome! Both forms of Zero are cool for many reasons, the classic (X games) had the seriously awesome sword play while the advance version (Zero games .. Pun not intended) gave zero teh extra weapons. the whole idea of Zero X upper cutting with the flame sword, and hten Advance Zero dropping from a above with the triple rod just makes me all sorts of happy. Unlike many, they are the same character, and yet they are totally different^^.

Or atleast bring Ken back.. I like ken.. hes fun^^ LOL SHINRYUKEN!

I still don't get Howard the Duck though.
He's a Marvel character and he's been in some surprisingly serious storylines(although he's still kinda lame). I think it's no different that having Frank West. Both are strange choices for a fighting game and both will cause people to be curious about it and play the game, that seems to be the point. In fact Howard the Duck is more interesting because he's had a movie and several comics, that's more than Frank West right?

True, but Frank suprisingly has massive popularity, and Capcom decided to cash in on it by
putting him in many games like Lost Planet and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

I honestly would have to say, while Dante is extremely popular in Japan, Frank is extremely
popular in the United States, I could honestly have to say he may be Capcom's most popular
character in the US. Besides, he does have an awesome fighting style.

Personally, I think Frank is an excelent choice, he and Dante represent modern Capcom.
And he's covered wars you know?

I find that claim to be laughable. Maybe most overhyped character but not even close to most popular. I say that in all sincerity, no joke. I'm not denying he's popular but I refuse to accept that he's more popular than MM or any other high profile capcom character.

While we're talking about it, Howard the Duck has a cult following even if most people haven't heard of him. It's also a smart move to add him to spark some curiousity. He may be ridiculous and annoying but he's a household name, more so than Frank West. I bet most of our parents have heard of Howard the Duck, the same cannot be said for West, right?

I don't think Capcom owns Strider Hiryu any more. Frank west is fine, but there are Capcom characters that are much more interesting. All Frank West ever did was kill zombies and claim that because he's covered wars, he is qualified to do stuff.

Capcom of Japan themselves said that Frank is extremely popular, so they decided
to put him in as many games as possible. So I'm taking Capcom's word for it.

And I wouldn't be suprised if he was more popular than Megaman in the US, I
mean, in Japan where he's much more popular, Amaterasu was rated higher than
Megaman in Famitsu magazine, and Dante was right behind Megaman.

(Famitsu is the most read Japanese Magazine)

But that's Japan, I honestly stand my ground that Frank may be the most popular
character in the United States, I don't think Megaman has that much of a following
anymore unfortunately, I bet Dante and Ryu are more popular than Megaman in
the US too.

It may be hard to believe, but Frank, Dante, and Phoenix Wright are pretty much
the flagstaffs of Capcom in the modern age.

If Frank West really is the most popular Capcom character then that's pretty sad considering how many games all the other, more deserving characters, have been in over the years. Lame character is lamer the more you talk about him.

I think it's because of how awesome he is, not his character.

Frank has done some insane things for an average joe, he can shoot a helicopter

Well I just did an experiment. I asked my daughter and her friends (about 4 girls and 3 guys) If they knew who Frank West was and only 1 of the boys knew. I then asked them if they knew who Mega Man was, and not only did they all know, they asked me which Mega Man did I mean. :o

I don't think Capcom owns Strider Hiryu any more. Frank west is fine, but there are Capcom characters that are much more interesting. All Frank West ever did was kill zombies and claim that because he's covered wars, he is qualified to do stuff.

I didnt know that about Strider. Although Im not completely stoked about Frank West since hes overhyped, I really want Venom in it, and M. Bison would be cool to have too.

ryu hyabasa: Ninja gaiden (Yeah I knwo hes Dead or alive and Xbox, so please dont bother with the, woudl never happen lines but how well do you think he would do honestly?)
the characters above are non capcom games obviously, but how do you think they would do?

Also what weird strange character that could show up, who probably wont, that you think would do amazing with the cast of characters already available. Capcom and Marvel have Many amazingly awesome one or two shot characters that only rabbid or devoted fans would know or recognise. So if possible see if you can include a game link, if that character's game is here.
Oh and just for fun, what non capcom or non marvel character would you love to see in this kinda game?

James, they "said" they were going to add more than 40 characters. They said Duke Nukem: Forever was going to come out 10 years ago. They said MechWarrior was going to get a reboot. They said that Freelancer 2 was coming out. There was word of Starcraft:Ghost. Fallout 3 was originally suppose to be similar to the first 2. Too Human was a PS1 game, that never happened.

Capcom said they're announcing at least characters per month, and they said over 40
characters are in the final game, so I'm going to say 42 characters is the safe number.
Which means 16 more characters to be announced.

That means that they might do this:
Nov: 4
Dec: 4
Jan: 2 or 4
Feb: 2 or 4
March: 2

Or:
Nov: 2
Dec: 2-6
Jan: 2
Feb: 2
March: 2

But I'm not sure what they have planned.

If I'm not mistaken, on Nov. 15, Capcom is having a press conference where they plan to
announce several games and maybe some MvC3 stuff.

December has the Jump Festa and January has the Consumer Electonics Show.

So we just have to be patient.

I agree that all we can do is wait, same with smash brothers, but I think most of the chars and such will be announced at the events as always. I wish ths game was beign revealed liek smash bros brawl was, That was awesome listenign to music and looking at characters in and now developed^^. Another group of characters revealed, another "Final" list circulates:

It's worth noting that unlike the last list, it doesn't have Shuma-Gorath on it.
And it had She-Hulk and Zero on it before the recent announcement.

My opinion is, I think it looks good, Megaman EXE is an interesting choice, Frank
West and Chuck Greene are in, the choice of a Dark Legion character I would
have never expected, and Squirrel Girl may be the strange character they wanted
to add. I'd prefer Howard the Duck myself.

But then again, it's just another list that people form after characters are released,
so we'll see.

X Zero, I hate his art, V2 Zero's art is much cooler, and he has a better personality instead of dying all through the games like X Zero does. I mean name a game where he don't either die or have to pull out because his repairs are too much to keep going? (keep in mind I have not played X7 or X8 since I do not own a PS2). X Zero has all these girls going after him and him showing no interest, in Megaman Zero his shows interest in Ciel through dialogue.

In the end, he looks like a pansy who always has to die or go out in a big bang. That got overplayed so freaking much in the X series I lost interest in the character.

MMZero don't die, he's more mysterious, and more is known of him. He only dies once in the four games and DOES NOT come back.. until biometals, where he becomes like X series Zero and dies at the end of ZXA. =/

Point is I don't like X Zero, he seems too weak and feable and MMZero's actually is cool; shows his feelings not like "screw you I'm huntin' mavericks!" So yeah, why I feel that way.

@DB: I don't blame you one bit, When I first played MMX I thought Zero was female and was told by friends Zero was behind sigma behind a curtain and if you beat Sigma you rescue him. Yeah load of crap.

@tails: speaking from an RP perspective X era Zero was Mostly focused on simplydoign his job, and he does have an interest in Iris in the X4 story, Along with shown emotion cuause he had to hunt down his friends the repliforce, all cause of the colonel. Later on, and early onin the zero story he had to care about the well fare of the people around, and after whatever happened in those elfwars before he conked out in the time before Megaman zero, he might have simply grown up a little. Theres also teh fact that Zero had no memory and Ciel helped him regian or make new ones.
In short
X zero: all buisness, do the job cause hes told to and ts what hes made to do.
Zero zero (LOL): save as many as possible, do the job to keep people alive.
As you can also tell obviously, that in teh Zero games, Teh hero was Far more active with the base, and interacted unlike int eh X era.
now that my RP based rant is over..

@Jozman: Your not lookign at the other aspect of this.. In otehr words,, DLC characters are an ctual reality here. Jill and shuma are DLC, meaning more of our chars, who might not show up on the disk, will or may become DLC. Besides m sure Jill and Shuma will become open DLC after a while. The special version just gets them free and first. The rest of us will need to buy and wait. LOL. So dont call it dung, call it. Wait.. DLC is confirmed? HUZZAH!
this also means some of the Non confirmed chars, like Ken and Strider, May be DLC later down the road^^. teh more the game sells teh more DLC.. so .. YAY!

Capcom has announced that MvC3 is 100% finished and is being sent to ESRB to ratings:

I dunno, but I'd honestly might get pretty depressed, he's what I've been looking
foward to since day one it would do a number on me.

But if Frank isn't in I'll replace him with Chris to make a team of Deadpool, Dante,

That's my problem with Capcom: they are as bad about releasing a game they see as incomplete, with the intention of adding overpriced DLC later on, as the people who made Call of Duty.

Also, I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the roster of this game, no Dan, not a single character from Rival Schools, no Punisher, no Dmitri, no Lord Raptor, all the best characters from Darkstalkers are out, no Captain Commando so far as I've seen, no Strider.

Even if I had a PS3/Xbox360 and the sixty dollars, I wouldn't buy this game, I'd rather go for a fighting game without a disappointing roster.

Used game sales and rentals are supposedly hurting them more than piracy. I don't understand how that works. At least a used game is sold once, and a rental might compel someone to buy the game for themselves, piracy generates zero profit.

My argument thats for DLC is always relativly simple.. and its not that they are hodlgn back chars intended to be in (Outside of jll and shuma). this allows them to have the game out, and take thier time and patience in creating whatever other characters they think of. then releasing those characters over time. For ocne the team has a reason to be slow with chars, as they are all being rendered in 3d instead of the usual 2d. Over all, it release the game on time, and gives the people workign some extra work time for other characters. [such as phoenix wright and strider] Who knows maybe the end roster for this game will be even larger than MVC2's roster^^. lol. they can also then get feed back from fans, and what fans are saygn to begin work on requested characters. [like again phoenix and the frank west guy]

also to add in here, id rather have optiosn of extra characters than need to wait for those, 'expanded or Super' versions Capcom likes to make.

their game. I don't like it, but at least it has some value.

I'm still hoping the Silver Surfer and Phoenix Wright make it into MvC3.

@Belmontzar- That's a whole lot of wishful thinking. It's one to thing to release content months after release and have it include a lot of content but to just release some characters and outfits is purely to grab more money from gamers. It's not like they're rushed to the point of having to leave characters out. Don't games get delayed constantly anyways? There is no excuse to release a fighting game and then a couple months later charge people for a couple characters.

I know it's not needed but it's still wrong to take parts out of a game and hold them for later and charge customers for it. There's lots of DLC out there that I would love to experience but I'm not paying another 10-20 bucks on top of the 60 I paid to buy it new.

And before anyone says it, no it's not always possible to buy the game used. The industry is working at full strength to make that option go away. Besides working with stores like Gamestop to raise their prices and make it not worth it they also have techniques in place that force you to buy new or pay for content that is literally on the disc. Money is the motivation and we're being taken for a ride.

but thats just t really, some times its not on the disk, and is made later. OR was an idea on the disk that was made and updated later. That is my point really, DLC are the extra bits that might have small data, or no data at all for the game. while it sucks to hear abotu all teh problems going towerds us poor folk who can only aford games used or on super sale.

I have no problem with that. In fact I think that's one of the best things to happen to console gaming in recent history.

I agree, that many games do hold back content for DLC, including contnt on disk that shouldn't have been held back. IT just sounded like you were upset about DLC in general. I personally like DLC because, of well, you tube. Honestly all I need to do is wait a day or so, and the DLC info for whatever new characters wll get released, FASTER even for games like MVC3. Sites like you tube are great for those of us who have no idea f DLC is worth it or not. But I agree fully with what your saying there, but now for a more fun topic about all of this.

Outside of Jill and Shuma, who else do you think will be fast made DLC? And who woudl you want to BE Dlc?
Many of the dark stalkers fans are voting for Jon Talbain, and of course, assuming hes not there, people will want frank west.. and phoenix wright..

Speakign of phoenix.. how would he work as a fighting game character? I honestly cant picture him in that type of set up. I mean for a smash bros game with assists and such I could see Phoenix and his speach bubbles slamming people.. but not as a standalone fighter..

@Belmontzar- I agree about waiting and checking youtube when DLC is released. I also read about them on Xbox.com because people are brutally honest and they love to give their opinions about everything. The main thing I look for is how much content it has and if it advances the game or goes along with it. I don't care much for the DLC that is some gimmicky side quest that's only slightly related to the game itself.

I have no actual input on this topic. It seems like I'm just sick of these flashy games with ridiculous combos that require no skill. It's fun for a while but it loses it's luster quickly, imo.

As for Darkstalker characters, if I'm not mistaken, the developer himself said that
he wants only four characters, Felicia, Morrigan, Hsien-Ko, and Jon.

I know, most industries realize that rental and used sales are inevitable, and don't complain about it.

Back to the DLC thing:
I am strongly opposed to all DLC, because it all boils down to a few reasons it exists:
The game was incomplete when it was released, so they are releasing the rest of it, and charging extra for it.
If I spend $60, I want a product that is complete, it is the same as buying a knife without a handle, still functional, but something is missing. Soon thereafter you go to a store and find that you can buy the handle, something that should have been included in the first place.
"Hurr durr I'm a multi-million dollar company, I need more money"
Sorry, I don't think I should be feeding the wallets of the rich when they decide they aren't rich enough.
Oftentimes, the content is already on the disk.
Of course I am going to be pissed off that you sell me a game, but I cannot access parts of it without paying more money. Especially when the content is already right there on my disk.

DLC has the potential to be one of the best things a game could have, but it is always executed poorly.
-It should be free, I've already payed way to much for the game.
-The effects should be substantial, not just a new level in Mario Kart or a new Ryu clone in Street Fighter.
-It should be bug free. So many DLCs have problems.

The whole goal of a business is to make as much money as possible, as quickly as possible
within legal boundries. So it isn't too far fetched if it's just for profit.

I mean, Capcom was in a bit of trouble when Lost Planet 2 under sold, but if I'm not mistaken,
Dead Rising 2 did better than expected to help balance it out.

My point is, companies such as Capcom doesn't know how much anything the produce will
make, and if a product can accquire alot of sales (ex: MvC3), you milk the most out of it to
stay in the black.

Are you missing the fact that in order to put all of this in the game, and whatever other characters DLC might have added, that the game would have simply been pushed back constantly? OR Resold over and over n alt versions? When instead of alt versions, they could just release characters through Dlc? I am so not gonna by 2 or thre copies of a 50-60 dollar game, just cause it added some characters. It smuch easier to swing money for occasional DLC. Its alot easier to hang on to 5-10 dollars for a character, then 60-70 dollars for the next Super version of the game.

I'd rather a game be pushed back a month or two so I could buy the whole thing, not wait the month or two, then buy another piece of it for ten dollars.
If I wanted all the characters, it could get pretty damn expensive if they added plenty of DLC characters.
From my understanding, they are going to be finished with the creation of the DLC characters before the release of the game, hence the "Special Edition" with it's card to get the DLC characters for free, though you are paying the price of the characters when you buy the "Special Edition" anyway.

Looking at that list, I am dissatisfied with what Japan wants, Megaman.EXE, what are they all three?
Virgil and Phoenix Wright would be nice though.

Am I the only one who wants characters from Rival Schools?

Rival Schools, not many people have heard of it, it was lost in popularity of Street Fighter EX 2 Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Darkstalkers 3, Marvel vs. Capcom, Capcom vs. SNK, Darkstalkers 3 and the rest of the Capcom fighting games released on the Playstation One.

Except, you know, it's in 3D, with the ability to move on the Z-axis as well.
When you fight, you have a team of two, you only play as one, save for super attacks, and you could switch who was fighting after a round.

There's plenty more different, why don't you judge it off of more than a few fuzzy screenshots from Google Images?
Watch some videos, go play it, I don't know.

My entire point is that the popularity of a game and the quality of a game are not necessarily related in any way.
I mean look at all the people who think Halo is the greatest game ever invented, and that there were no FPS's before Halo.
It's not that Halo is a particularly bad game, but it is rather... mediocre, yet look how well it sells.

part one: Evil zone was a fun fighter..made fun of a lot of anime.. but wasn't capcom so.. probably doesn't fit.. anyway id heard of that Rival schools game but never played it.. (was still hooked to Marvel super heroes and Darkstalkers fo rmy saturn^^)

part two: Halo was just another scifi shooter, was fun to play split screen with dad, and it was okay. I prefer doom and My saturn version of quake^^

-sighs- its a bummer if Ken or Strider don't make it, cause strider is freaking brilliant character wise.

And this is probably completely pointless or unrelated completely, but the conversation made me think of it..
Any idea if we will get another Gem or puzzle fighter game at some point? I know SPF2turbo was re released.. but a new game with a bunch of characters could be fun^^.. and I kinda like the chibi characters^^

While no word has been out about the Megaman who will represent MvC3, on the Internet
Movie Database, a 12 year old actor Zachary Gordon is listed for Megaman, but not which
one, I'm guessing that it's either EXE or Original because they were both young.

But that's just your opinion. Maybe it's better than you think and the sales only back that up? I know I've enjoyed the hell out of all of them, besides Halo wars because I never tried it. People like to trash Halo but imo it deserves all the accolades it gets because it does what a game should do - be fun and keep improving.
Quality of a game is subjective, I played Halo, I disliked it, so as far as I am concerned it was mediocre. Fun with a friend, but alone that game was lame.
I trash talk it because I think it sucks, you defend it because you think it is good. This is going nowhere, nor will it ever end up anywhere. I'm not changing my opinion, you aren't changing yours.
Back on topic now:
I don't like the idea of three dimensional characters on a two dimensional plane, never have.
Also, is it just me, or does everyone look like they are made of plastic?

I never found anything wrong with 2.5D like in SSBB or SSFIV, I think it's more modern than
the 2D sprites they used in SFIII. But I guess everyone is a critic.

It looks ok to me. I think the cell shading/black outline is whats making the characters kinda stand out of the picture.

I think we'll all get used to the graphics, remember how much outrage was against Street
Fighter being in 3D? Yet we grew into loving the new artstyle.

I've been reading the ESRB review of MvC3, does this sound a bit like something Frank West
would say? (Or Deadpool might say to Frank)

I thought they looked like action figures actually.. only fully animated and more awesome^^ lolz. In fact they could make action figures that look just like that and Id get them If I could find them.. the 3d effect is cool and im glad the back ground has a 3d effect too at parts. Over all the game looks awesome, argument about DLC or not, this is gonna be a sweet game^^

A user at IGN claiming he's a main at Capcom talks about MvC3:

He claims that this weekend Capcom is announcing 2 new characters on Spikes VGA, and that
2 more will be announced at Jump Fiesta.

I'm going to assume they're announcing Frank West at the VGA because his popularity among
American gamers and Megaman and Jump because it's his anniversary.

For Marvel, he says that it's almost a complete mystery aside from Storm, who he believes will
be announced at Jump Fiesta.

For the rest of Capcom he mentions Red Arrmer, Haggar, Hskin-Ko, Crimson Viper, and
Megaman Volnutt are all rumored, but that brings the total to 6. I honestly think the last Street
Fighter character will be Bison if you ask me.

As for deconfirmed characters, he says Megaman EXE and Roll aren't in.

For DLC, he mentions the 6 top characters are:

Marvel:
Ghost Rider
Blade
Abomination

Capcom:
Cammy
Captain Commando
Roll

He finally mentions that you can only get Jill and Shuma if you get the Special Edition, meaning
that there will be no extra DLC later where they cost money.

I don't know how they'd make Abomination different from the Hulk.

But I don't know anything about this guy so, this could be fake.

If that's true then it's more evidence that Capcom is all about the money and to hell with it's fans/customers. But, I think they'll offer them as DLC a couple months after release so the preorder fools can feel special for a while.

Two new characters confirimed:

Storm:

By the looks of it, Storm plays like she did in MvC2.

While Viper, plays suprisingly good, I was worried if she'd be a misfit, but she
seems to blend in well. She even has her focus attack from Street Fighter IV.

I'm guessing we have to wait another month for Frank to be announced.
Unless he's going to be announced at Jump.

But Megaman will be awesome too.

They're going to have 6 characters revealed in January.

The two I can think of that are certain are Frank and Venom, they both are photojournalists
and because of that, they're most likely going to be rivals.

The other 2 Capcom characters I expect are Haggar and Bison.
As for Marvel, I have no idea.

They said they have 10 more characters left, and they're announcing 4 in December, so there
has to be 6 in January. The last characters revealed are always the characters that have to be
unlocked to play as...

It took me a while to unlock Frank in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and I guess I have to do it again.

But who do you guys think are in?

Frank has been teased over and over again, Haggar has been leaked, and Bison is Capcom's
second most popular villain behind Wesker.

As for Marvel, I'm guessing Venom, Ms. Marvel, and Howard the Duck.

She's not the most popular character but they did make a movie about her and she was in the Daredevil movie. It's not like she's unheard of by any means.

Bison is a demon from hell that wants to take over the world via terrorism.

Now that I think of it, the only character that I'm questionable about is Taskmaster.

He's been rumored since day one and Seth said there's one character that is absolutely insane
to play as. I'm going on a limb and say it's Deadpool's rival, the Taskmaster.

I just want to see how Howard the Duck will play, all the developers are hinting he's in...

Another "leaked list" has circulated the internet:

My opinion? Completely false. He says that there are 6 characters left when
developers themselves said that there are 8 left. Another reason is that Akuma has
been deconfirmed for a while now as there are no other Shotos than Ryu. Seth
Killian also said there was one character in that he found 100% questionable when
they wanted him in (my guess a joke character) but every charcter on each side
seem very reasonable to be in MvC3. Also, every stage has a character, which
begs the question as to why Elektra has a stage but she's not in.

Another thing is that I doubt Megaman woun't return, he's Capcom's poster child,
he's 100% in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Also, the basis for the Haggar silhouette can
easily be found on the internet:

A good sign that a bunch of characters are to be announced sooner or later.

I'm going to guess they have an episode 4 trailer planned because Spider-Man wasn't featured.

Edit: After looking through the trailer a second time, it looks there are 2 sihouettes in C. Vipers
papers, and as I looked closer, I think one of them was Megaman Starforce. People are saying
one of them is Elektra, but the other one is hard to see.

On one of the documents is a dog, here's what I saw in order:
In the suitcase looks a bit like a helmet of some sort on the left hand side, on the right looks like a tank of some sort.
The first set of computer screens, the top resembles a blueprints of some sort. The bottom looks like a fairly sturdy male body.
Second picture of computer screen, appears to be the same screen, bottom one only. This is because Chris Redfield is in both pictures. It is a fairly muscular male, maybe Venom or Iron Man.
First documents looks like one of the ones from the briefcase, and another depicting what looks like some form of helmet.
Second set of documents, a dog on the page closest to C. Viper.
Next set of documents, still a dog on the top, the second being what appears to be either Iron Man flying, or Dante breaking through a window, like in the trailers for the new DMC.

There appears to be nothing significant in the picture of the credits.
