The thing about baseball is it's a loooooong season.

Although the situation wasn't quite as bleak, look at the Phillies from last season as an example. A 4-11 start in April, mediocre play in clutch moments throughout the season and key injuries turned into one of the greatest comeback stories in sports history and the NL East Pennant. As long as the Tigers don't pull something like a 4 or 5 win April, I wouldn't count them out of the AL Central race. I look for them to play well against Boston.

Tigers will be fine. They've got a lousy bullpen, but once their position players are all healthy and the starting pitching gets their act together, the Tiger WILL contend for the AL Central pennant.

Anyone see the Cubs-Pirates game go to the 12th? The cubs let an 8-0 led get to 8-8 but ended up winning. 15 pitchers use that game between the 2 of them. Lets see how both bullpens hold up today with one day of rest...
