but as you guys proberley know from earlyer posts in this topic that I get punched about.
Well Im sick of getting beat up for nothing!
I have a black eye now, because I didnt record some silly program for him,

IMO early release is not always a good thing.
Sometimes there are conditions on the release which can be very unfavorable that can last longer then the sentence.
Such as curfews or checking in.
Couldn't be that serious anyways he wasn't in very long. (hopefully long enough to contemplate things though)

Don't know if you like the idea of him getting out.

well, the whole story was over Manic Depression, meaning he didn't have control over actions and his roomate made him commit this crime... In his mind it was a week earlier and he was working, next thing he knew he was getting beaten up by cops and it was almost a week later.

he has meds, he went back to school for 8 of his 15 months where he was awaiting sentencing, he had like 8 girls at school that really liked him. lol (lucky SOB) so no, he is a good guy, he always has been, just a quick update for you oldtimer since you weren't here during all of this.

Employers are idiots. I went to a group interview (an awful idea in the first place) and the 20 other people in the room probably had a combined IQ of half of mine. Such dumb people.

Some of them have jobs. I do not. This has to be a cruel joke.

okay, i got one: my freaking mailbox was broken into today!!! singled out! of the 12 or so boxes of my apt. mine was the only one they decided to bust into, and the worst part is i lost my mailbox key, this is bad for 2 reasons, i dont know how many days worth of mail they stole since i always use the other door and havent had a key for about a week. and to the landlords it looks like i busted into my own mailbox because i was desperate to get a check out of there or something.

I had a similar incident and in that case things were never the same between my landlord and me again.

Mannnnn, the music business is so screwed up.

I have been trying to book a show for the past 2 months. I first dealt with a venue that told me they "don't do rap shows" even though I have performed there before, as well as many friends of mine. But they didn't tell me that until AFTER they wasted my time.

Then I have some friends that rent a venue. They were going to let me use that, and we were getting ready to go over the specifics. The other day they were shut down by the city for not having all the permits they need. So that's good.

Now I am trying a new venue that does not return phone calls or e-mails. I have a group of musicians coming in from all around the Midwest and nowhere to have a show.

I can't do it for free, I have to make money. I have to pay the rappers, they are professional musicians. Otherwise I would do it for free, outdoor concerts are better anyway.

Well you could still do it outdoor and in a place like a park where no one can waste your time or tell you no. All you need to do is get the word out before hand and plan accordingly. Sorry if that's not helpful, I'm trying at least right?

The problem is getting the money I need to pay the artists. I've never been to an outdoor show where people were charged to get in. Unless we put up barriers or something, but that's probably a whole new headache.

I also don't know about the weather in early March )when the event will be) around here. Sometimes it is still pretty cold by then.

You could also try places like a VFW or other halls that rent out space. Sure it's not hardcore at all but it's bound to be affordable and it's indoor so you can make sure the gate crashers pay their dues.

It means Veteran of Foreign Wars(it's actually called a V.F.W. hall). Most towns/cities have something like it. It's like a lodge or meeting house for army dudes. I know some rent out their halls for pretty much anything as long as it's not going to damage the building or break any laws. Like I said it's not hardcore or anything but they usually have a lot of room and a stage for performances. Also they can serve alcohol on premises, but they'll charge extra obviously.

I'm a member of my local VFW. While I'm not sure if this is true at all posts, I know that ours works differently than from what DB said. At our post you need to be a member or have your event sponsored by a member to rent the hall. They'll bartend a bar in the hall if you want for free, but unless you pay for it, it wont be an open bar.

I don't know all the details Tenser but around here it's not unusual for events to be held at the VFW. I don't know where they draw the line but the events I heard about were pretty diverse. Maybe the MA chapters are hurting for money or something.

We have a handful of small venues downtown, and 1 big venue where the few famous bands that come through here play. I'm waiting to hear back from one of the smaller ones and it's pretty much my last hope before I have to do something drastic.

Actually I never did find a venue and had to cancel. Booking people in my town told me they didn't want to deal with the rap crowd because they get in fights and don't spend any money at the bar.

The Twin Cities Hip Hop Awards were a few days ago, and a fight broke out. Which is what brought it up.

I have no idea what a nuke booster is, but I understand that in COD if you get the nuke perk it ends the game. That sounds awesome/dumb at the same time.

You can get a nuke if you get 25 kills in a row. This isn't impossible but most times people boost to get it. They boost by using tactical insertion(let's you choose your spawn point) and having their buddy on the other team stand there and die over and over in some remote corner of the map. It's retarded and the company should patch it. Regardless of the scores it ends the match. This is very annoying in objective type game modes.

the only time that i appriciate a nuke is when a team is losing and they use it. it is annoying when someone gets it 3 or 4 minutes into a game and they burn it right away. it is especially annoying when you are winning a free-for-all, and you get beat by a booster.

Actually, haha, it's a family failing.My grandmother, who raised me, used to call me by my cousin's names and vice versa, never mind that while I lived with her, my cousin didn't. Now, everyone once in a while, I'll call fenrir by his brother SFF2K9's name and vice versa. What he does need to remember though, is that I also occasionally reverse his sisters names as well.

Two exams today... no time to study for either... not enough time to finish either... one should have been Wednesday but everyone convinced the teacher to change it... so tired... so much work left to do... at least 3 projects for next week... to much team work... this collage thing is really getting to me... 22 years old and still 2 years left to finish... falling behind not good... anyone here underage... I (and my wife) can totally sympathize with you nikegirl. I didn't finish school until I was 30. I had to work full time late nights to finish, and still take out student loans. My wife is currently going to school and she is in her mid 30's. With two kids that have a full schedule as well and me going through my "busy season", I have no idea how she does it. So heed the words of nikegirl, people, if you plan to go to college, get those good study habits now and get it done as soon as you can.

I just worked my first day at a new job. I'm working at a restaurant down town.

Today, my training day, was the busiest day they have ever had, and they were understaffed. Only 4 people working. 2 cooks, 1 server, and me washing dishes.

It was a jooooooookkkkkkkeeeeee.

13 hour shift, from 11AM to a little past midnight.

But I got paid, and that's all that really matters.

My mom had a car accident today. Someone cut in front of her, and so that she wouldn't crush against the car, she turned to the right and fell in some sort of horrible ditch that totally destroyed the car. She's fine (mostly), but since the other car didn't hit my mom's car, here in Mexico, that means the owner of the other car won't be paying for damages, and if we sue, we won't win. Even though the car behind my mom's car followed the other car to get the license plate and is a witness to what happened.

My parents can be huge tools. I moved back home so that I don't have to work in a restaurant my whole life and am saving money for school, and the only time my parents talk to me is to bitch about something.

After working a hectic 13 hour day washing dishes, I was awoken just a few hours after I fell asleep by my mother, insisting I clean my room that instant. I got out of bed, went downstairs and found a snack. While I was eating, my mom found me and told me to go clean my room this instant. So I went to clean my room, then my mom came upstairs and told me I wasn't cleaning fast enough or something, so I got super pissed and left. On my way out I was so mad that I wasn't paying attention and backed into my sister's car.

There goes all the money I have been saving. I am so thrilled.

Some of you may know, I LOVE STORMS, ESPECIALLY TORNADOES. We haven't had a tornado here since 2001, when the big one hit around here. Well, we had one last night, and.. I WAS SLEEPING THROUGH IT. I am so pissed. I wanted to go watch it the entire time, my Mom just told me about it, and didn't wake me up (she then commented and said that the rattling thunder don't wake me up but as soon as someone comes into my room I am up like a hawk.) and to make matters WORSE it happens on my Vacation, I woulda been UP FOR IT IF THE DAMN THING DIDN'T USE MY VACATION THIS WEEK.

I, too, love storms and have almost been killed by them on several occasions.

I only saw one tornado when I was young, and it came towards us in a valley {Winfield, British Columbia} which made it look like a gigantic wall of storm as high as the eye could see.
The destruction was moderate, and no one was injured or killed.

Hang in there Tails, the summer ain't over yet; I think, no, I KNOW there is some major storm activity brewing offshore because the weather here in Vancouver has been so unusually stormy lately.
Maybe there will be a super cell forming that will wipe all of us out.

Here is something that irritates the heck out of me. Woke up this morning and my computer was running like crap and slower than a bill through Congress. After some cussing and investigating I found I had a trojan disguised as my Microsoft Update program. Only thing I can guess how it got through is my wife is addicted to those chat rooms on Yahoo Messenger. Is there anyway it could have come through there? I turned off all my auto updates on all my programs too until I can figure out what the hell the problem is. I hate people with nothing better to do than to mess with somebody else. Hmmmmmm. Out of character means a person did or said something that you would not expect them to do because it is different than things they have done or said before.

Both are phrases that mean something different than just the words by themselves.

Go here HouseCall - Free Online Virus Scan - Trend Micro USA (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/) and run their online scan.
Make sure Windows Defender is installed, updated, and running - should be an icon for it by your clock. Run a scan.
Make sure you have a good antivirus program installed and updated. (hint if it let you get a virus in the first place then it might not be good.) Run a scan in Safe Mode.
Reboot into normal windows. Make sure Defender and your antivirus are still running.

Vent - So my contract has a clause that says including my normal job responsibilities, I am "at the will of the university" to complete other tasks that the administration deem necessary. In the past, this has included being available during graduation ceremonies in case someone has a heart attack or something like that, to being an usher for booster fundraisers (did get to see country music star vince gill for free, so that was ok)

This week, the city and county high schools are having their annual game and for the first time ever, they are using our field, it is a better facility, lights, field turf, more seats. As result, I'm stuck watching two of the worst football teams in the state put their 0-2 records on the line. Lame.

Totally absurd and unacceptable!!! I go to a very good college in Mexico that is pretty expensive so I need financial aid to pay for it... and the stupid school has been having connection problems for the last month. As in no connection at all sometimes. I don't have classes on Friday's but today I had lot's of work so I got up bright and early to get to school at 8 and start working, and guess what... no internet!!! I could have stayed home and worked but it's a team assignment and I live to far from everyone else. This is just not right, we pay to much and it is unacceptable that this keeps happening.

I mean, we already have the problem that in Mexico our internet services suck, so we don't expect much from them... and we already have the problem that the network gets saturated because of many students online at lunch... and they have their stupid policies about no online gaming, and many pages are blocked because the consume to many resources... and they won't let use play LAN... so we already have a crappy internet as school and then this happens... this is just absurd... it's was 8 am and I had no connection at all.

I moved to a different building and I now have internet... horrible internet that won't let me open hotmail... I bet if I tried youtube would open... but hotmail, where I get all my school mail won't... how am I supposed to check for the files my teammates send me if I can't open my mail... This is just absurd...

The worst part... I just got one of those usb broadband things, don't really know what it is called outside Mexico... and my mom took it for something she needs. It costs $20 dollars a month and we only get 2Gb of downloads (and that was on discount, the student price is $25 a month and for regular people they have to buy the 1Gb, 3Gb, 5Gb or 10Gb... and the 1Gb is about $25, so it is extremely expensive), anything over that is charged extra, but it is useful in these cases... except we only have one and we both need it...

Very angry... if only I didn't have so much homework and I could play to release some anger...

I'm not sure what his position would translate to in English, but I also spoke with the uhm... the director of my area... (I really suck at translating positions). She said she'd speak with her boss about it and have an answer for next week. If that doesn't work I'm going to organize a petition signing.... try to get the school to get bigger broadband.

I need to figure things out. Right now I have no idea how to handle something.
No matter how I attempt to go about it, I feel as though I am doing something wrong, or that I am going to end up coming across as creepy, which I do just fine in a normal situation.

My car got towed this morning.

The city starting street sweeping today. According to their website they put up no parking signs 24 hours before (they did not) and as a resident I recieved an automated phone call to warn me (I did not). So they did not follow the rules but expected me to anyway.

I would love to fight it. But just like everyone else, I am too busy and don't have the time or energy. So once again the city gets away with breaking the rules, and I get to pay 200 bucks to get my car back.

Wow, drivers are retarded... Wait, that isn't right. Most are not but I'm sure all of drivers would not ram an effing bike next to a ravine for taking up the bike lane.

Anyways, riding home from high school, coming near an area where there is a small ravine off to the right, I'm all the way off to the right side of the road which is legal and this retard pulls up beside me and swears and screams at me for being on the road. Last I checked you have to be on the road passed the age of 12, so I'm far past that and I don't look like I'm 12 either unless there is 6-foot twelve-year olds...

In any case I did not get off the road, there was people on the sidewalk coming up and like hell I'm complying to some retard that thinks he needs the extra bike lane space, what's he do?? Hmm... Rams my bike, my bike for crying out loud. He hit my handle bars mainly and crushed my last two fingers and bashed my knee too... My bike handles spun and I bumped over the sidewalk crashing into a wooden post which may sound bad but it's better than going in between these posts and falling into a ravine.

I really don't know what to do here, this guy is either A; A gang member and I can't do crap without dying (and this brings up separate issue, don't even get me started on gangs and how they like to play god with peoples lives, the thought pisses me off), or B; he is just a psychopath or anything else really.

Either way, I really hate not to ride my bike... I hate to comply to such bs, I can't be pushed around easily at all. Usually don't have to, I really want to ride my bike to cut time and for fun. However, not worth getting shot or ran over by the same tard.

for any questions you may seem to ask:

-Road lane was big enough
-Was signs for "Share the road" mostly all over the place (signs for bikes)
-I am a very aware person, I stay near the sidewalk and shoulder check very often, signal with my arm, etc.
-riding on the sidewalk is not allowed at my age

Questions involving legal things:

-I got no license plate
-Reporting to cops is bad news since sadly most are attached to gangs and report you to the gangs if you call in to report someone who may be in a gang.

So I'm really just venting but suggestions would really be nice on whether or not to ride my bike would be appreciated.

I've been riding since I was in like Grade 4 so this would be a huge loss to me.

No one else seems to ride to high school, I'm thinking maybe a reason. I know I heard driving is a lot different here and more dangerous than it was in Alberta...

Insight onto what this guy is and what he might be doing would also be nice...

True, I saw the retard again today. I was watching the cars to see how much space was there and sure enough there was plenty. Then this white car drives by driving so close to the sidewalk his wheels were actually partly on the curb. I tried to grab a license but I was not able to make it out quick enough before he sped up.

Oh we definitely have gangs here in Canada. The Hells Angels have always had a presence here but there is also the International Gang and some smaller asian and east asian gangs.

I find generally if you stay away from certain areas you won't have any problems with them.

Here's one for you! What is the point in having a scoring system in a game when it doesn't show your final score when the game is over or alternatively you finish the game?

It sure makes for some frustrating times when trying to post a score. I got burned by this TWICE tonight! :at-wits-end:

I'm pretty sure that same thing happened to me a couple years ago when I played Bonk for some contest. I ended up getting the high score but I think I had to try a couple extra times because I got worked up and forgot to be careful, I submitted with lives left to be sure.

Sadly I doubt that's be doable because a lot of games have this issue. I know I've run into many games in my limited arcade experience. Maybe I just choose bad games though, Bonk does suck out loud.

Argh......the hard drive I was using to store all of my recorded game videos had a head crash last night. I lost:

-Unfinished parts of Yoshi's Island
-All of Metroid II
-Me playing multiplayer games with my brother
-The entire Zelda: Oracle of Seasons run I was working on.

This was also the drive I was using to store the backups of my computer on......scary stuff.

No, it was a 1 terabyte drive that was 70% full, that's not something you can fit onto a CD or DVD.

Thanks Kong but this drive is pretty much done. It starts clicking as soon as it gets plugged in and never stops, and Windows doesn't recognize it at all.

It's not *THAT* big of a deal, it only had my main hard drive backups and my recorded gameplay on it. The internal drives on my computer are okay. I already bought a new drive to replace it, and a new backup is running right now.

It's still under warranty so I'm going to send it back for a replacement.

Doesn't matter if windows recognizes it or not. The link above is for a boot cd that loads without Windows and fixes many problems including HD problems. If BIOS recognizes it then it can be fixed.

You can also whack it against your leg or on some carpet. If it is locked that can dislodge it.

And you can put it in a zip lock bag and then freeze it for 24 hours. While it is still frozen plug it in and it might work for about 15 minutes. Long enough to back up a few files. The freezing causes contraction which can make some parts fit back where they are supposed to be.
