For some reason, my IE stopped working today on my personal laptop. I'm currently using Chrome, and the internet connection is working properly at max connection. I ran a virus scan and didn't find anything severe. Could there be a problem with the IE server or do I have a serious problem here? Also, I can't load up arcadeOX nor download it since it automatically wants to download it using IE which shuts down on me...help please.

Strange...IE works if I open it up in private brownsing.

I also have two versions of IE. Normal and 64-bit. The 64-bit works properly while Normal one shuts down.

To get AOX in Chrome see this http://retrouprising.com/support/retro-uprising-support/chrome/t9856/

Flash wont work in IE64 making it almost useless.

There would be nothing server side that would cause your IE not to work on multiple sites.

You are saying you start IE and it opens and then immediately closes? Do you get an error message?

Likely causes would be your homepage, a plug in, a virus or some deleted files that IE needs.

First try running without any plugins.

Go to Start > Run (if you don't see it press the Windows Key + R)
Type iexplore -extoff
Press Enter

Did that work? If yes then problem is probably an addon. Try removing them one at a time until you find the problem one.

I have no idea what happened, but my IE is working normally again without having done anything to it. Thanks for the help though Kong.
