Joystick Issues
Hello, I am currently using a Hori Fighting Edge for the Xbox360. Usually everything I use it for on the PC works fine but for some reason when I try to set the controls on here it doesn't read the inputs.

I have ran into this problem before with another version of MAME but I was able to use Joy2Key and work around it that way, but when I try using Joy2Key with the version of MAME on here it still doesn't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Make sure the controller is plugged in and recognized by windows before you launch the game.

You shouldn't need joytokey unless you are playing a flash or java game, which you are not. Close it.

You are using the tab menu to configure the controller right?

Hi Kong, the stick is recognized by windows and I was using tab to try and map my inputs. The Joy2Key was a last ditch effort to get the stick to work with the emulator since it wasn't reading the inputs I tried beforehand.

Make sure Steam is not running, it tends to override the controller and make it not work on arcadeox.

My Xbox controller works on the coin-op games, can't play any Nintendo games unless I use the laptop keys

Score mode or full mode? Nintendo Full Mode is different. There is a setting in the top menu to configure the controller. I forgot exactly what it's called but it is labeled with something somewhat obvious like config controller. You have to configure it first. If you don't find it let me know and I'll look up the exact instructions.

Try the DS3 Tool. It works for ps3 and xbox 360 game pads. Google it and find a link YOU trust. Not responsible for where you download it at.
