Sorry to hear about your computer dying; mine is nearly finished too.

Well my friends, this an official 'goodbye' from me for online MC - or anything else for that matter - it's crashing randomly every day now and sometimes even crashes while trying to boot.
No sense trying to figure it out because I have no money to fix it.

Oh well, it was really fun while it lasted and if I ever do get it fixed I'll be back.

Hurry back JG. If you haven't tried it already get microsoft security essentials and malwarbytes then boot into safe mode(should be by pushing f8 at start up) and run those programs to see if you have any viruses/spyware screwing you up.

Magic Farm 2.

It takes the part of the game where you're just starting off and extends that for a very large period of time. It makes Minecraft very difficult though and might not be for some.

It also includes all of the mods I'd like to play with. Thaumcraft, Blood Alchemy, Pam's Harvestcraft, Forestry, Extra Biomes, MFR, Forestry, Tinker's Construct, Hunger Overhaul, etc...

It's a brilliant and difficult pack.

I'm still liking the Drahexxy pack myself, but I know you guys get bored easily sometimes without new content/ challenges.


Sadly I still haven't been able to do anything about my computer problems and so it's {still} prone to crash at any moment, but I would like to have a peek at what you're all up to once it's been decided.

On second thought, Magic Farm 2 might be too difficult to run on a server. You go out at night and you die. You go caving and you die. You go to the Nether and you die.

Remember Infernal Mobs? Think about fighting those without the fancy weapons and armor. Also caves generate naturally with traps and spawners.

On top of all that, your hunger bar goes down faster, is much harder to fill up, and you just die if your hunger hits zero.

Vanilla tools and weapons aren't allowed and you have to level up your tools before they can mine the next stage of material.

Flint/Copper/Iron/Tin/Brass/Aluminite/Ardite/Cobalt/Manyllum

On the plus side it has Thaumcraft, Forestry, and Natura. Three mods which would takes hundreds of hours to see everything.

It is frustrating. I've been playing it in my SSP world since I got the new computer. It's amazingly perfect.

It takes the best parts of MC (in my opinion) and drags them out through the entire tier list of your play through.

If your favorite parts of Minecraft are the very beginning when you just start out and delving deep into mechanics of specific assets of the game then this is the mod pack for you.

If you just want to derp around and explore without much worry or issue, than this isn't the pack for you.

I like the idea of drawing out the early part of the game but what you describe sounds like that and adding an insane level of difficulty to the mobs and relevant zones.

I would propose using Magic Farm 2 without the Infernal Mobs then.

It still ramps up the difficulty some by sprinkling in spawners randomly within caves (it also sprinkles in loot chests) without increasing the actual mob difficulty.

@Mykeh: Magic Farm 2 is part of the Feed the Beast series. Kind of like how Hexxit is part of the Technic series.

Just start up your normal MC client. Use 1.7.9 it's the latest version. The IP for the server is: 97.89.26.40
