WWF No Mercy

The Rock. Triple H. Stone Cold Steve Austin. Some of the greatest WWE superstars that I grew up on, but let's travel back to the year 2000, yes Y2K when we all though computers where gonna blow up in our faces and airplanes would fly out of the sky and all technology would go haywire. Back when WWF now WWE was on top of the world, whether watching it live at the arena or on your TV in the comfort of your own living room, it was breathtaking and exciting. So naturally THQ released a follow-up to it's successful WWF Wrestlemania 2000[Although it was released in 1999 it had the 2000 logo] When WWF No Mercy first came out I was excited, and by God I was right to be excited, I remember getting home, popping that game in my N64 and there I saw; WWF NO MERCY! It was amazing, the action, the storylines, the customization of each individual WWF superstar was through the roof. Now this game was missing one thing that would've made it better, The Big Show, yes the Big Show was in a feud with the Rock, Triple H and Mick Foley for the WWF Title but I hear he was with Ohio Valley Wrestling at the time, but still. Anyways let's break down WWF No Mercy:

GRAPHICS-There's a little screenshot of DX [Triple H is holding the mic and X Pac is wearing the DX Jersey] pretty standard for the N64, so not much to shout about
SOUND- Very good actually, the themes are the ones of the actual WWF superstars but in season mode they speak through speech bubbles.

REPLAY VALUE- Very high...only if you're a WWF/E fan, also has great multiplayer

CHALLENGE- Season mode matches do get trickier as they progress as sometimes you'd have to complete a certain goal [i.e make your opponent bleed, or slam them through the announcer table] to win the match

FINAL THOUGHTS: WWF No Mercy is fun and has great multiplayer in which it supports up to 4 people which is cool and in matches you can mix and match wrestlers, like you could have The Rock vs The Rock which is awesome! A very good wrestling game and if you're a wrestling fan this game is perfect for you... even though I'm sure you're playing Smackdown Vs Raw 2010.

I never had a chance to play this particular game. Some one should review WM2000

Re: WWF No Mercy

Loved this game, loved the WWF. I wish pro-wrestling was the way it was late 80's to around 2000.
