Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Who Framed Roger Rabbit was one of the greatest Live Action/Animated movies of all time, it's a cult classic. Also being infamous for the first (and so far only) time Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse have appeared on screen together, which to us kids was pretty mind blowing, the game for the NES however is infamous for being HORRIBLE!

First off the game barely follows the movie, you play as Eddie Valiant (Controlled by you) and Roger Rabbit who is controlled by the computer. Your goal is to get dynamite and blow up the wall that seperates the tunnel from our world to Toon Town, and find pieces of Marvin Acme's will, yeah remember the part in the movie where Eddie and Roger went around looking for pieces of Marvin Acme's will? I sure don't! So you go around finding stuff and searching through trash cans and drawers and talking to people. Sometimes you go into caves and talk to a snake, yeah remember that scene when Roger and Eddie went into a dark cave and talked to a snake? Neither do I. Now when your walking around and you hear a siren that means Judge Doom's henchmen the Weasels are around and if they catch Roger you have to answer the correct punchline that corresponds to the joke they ask, if you're right they laugh and Roger's free, if you're wrong you lose a life...here are some of the jokes and they're punchlines:

-What tuba can't you play?
*A tuba toothpaste

-What is the best cure for water on the brain?
*A tap on the head

-What hand do you write with?
*I usually write with a pencil

-Name 9 Animals from Africa?
*Eight elephants and a giraffe

-Where is Timbuktu?
*Between Timbuckone and Timbuckthree

-What is a forum?
*Twoum plus Twoum

Corny right?

Also whilst walking the streets be careful around birds, if one picks up Roger and takes him off screen, you lose a life. If Roger gets run over by a car...nothing because he's a toon, he can shake it off, if Eddie gets hit, you lose a life. You can also hail Benny the Cab but the driving controls are a pain in the keister. Finally when you recover all the pieces to the will, you fight Judge Doom....and he is extremely hard, and I though fighting Bowser at the end of Super Mario Bros 3 was an endurance. Compared to Judge Doom, Bowser is a cakewalk, then after you beat him, you win!

Score time:
Graphics-2/5, standard NES graphcs but they can glitch from time to time

Sound-4/5, The music is phenomanal and great 8-bit gold

Replay Value-1/5, if you wanna replay this game...lol I'm kidding why would you wanna?

Gameplay-2/5, its pretty difficult and stupid and small animals can kill you, how lame

Overall-1.5/5, Who Framed Roger Rabbit makes a mockery of the movie, it loosely follows the movie and it's stupid, the only good thing was aside from the music was you got to call Jessica Rabbit toll free, she gives you her number in the game and you have to call it. It's defunct now but here it is anyways; 1-800-232-3324.

Re: Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

I'm pleased to say that even back in 1989 - 91 when I was renting NES and SMS games I never did rent this one.
I remember a lot of really bad games, like Hydlide and Low G Man, and how I would take them back to the store and say it wouldn't work on my machine.
They were really nice and would exchange it for another rental.

Roger Rabbit would have been among those being returned to the store.

Good review, Chuck, but what ever possessed you?
