Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters

Eric Corp Gamer's RU Exclusive Review 11
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters
NOTE: Hey, I did promise I'd review this on my first RU Exclusive review (Kid Icarus)
Since I reviewed Kid Icarus (my 1st Retro Uprising Exclusive Review, and personally I was a bit too generous about it, because I was starting out), I promised that I sooner make a review of the sequel Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters (the reason it took so long is because, I totally forgot about it, but when I made my R.C. Pro AM II review, I finally remember that I should be making a review on this.
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Graphics: B+
The graphics here, are way better than the original was, mostly because, there are backgrounds in the game. But also, the graphics are kinda similar to the original so, there's not really much to say about it. Overall, great for an early Game Boy game.

Gameplay: B
Ditto like the graphics but, they improved the gameplay somewhat. For example, it scrolls anyway you want (a huge improvement over the annoying vertical scrolling in the original). You still go around, shooting arrows at many things, to collect hearts, and you can buy stuff at the shops. Once again, not much to say, as it plays the same as the original, again. The only problems, mostly is the resolution, can get annoying for certain monsters that fly all over the place (well, I can't really blame the Game Boy). Overall, pretty good.

Sound: C-
Probably the worst thing about the game. The sound effects are decent enough, but the music doesn't sound like you expect from a Kid Icarus game. It's not horrible, but just kinda half bad. You really have to hear to understand what I'm saying here.

Controls: B
Same style as the original game, which is not half bad for a portable gaming system.

Replay Value: B
Once again, fans of the Metroid II engine (if you do like the game I just said), Kid Icarus, and Nintendo franchises.

Overall: B
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters is actually better than the original (except for the sound, maybe), but it's still uses the same formula as its predecessor. I recommended for the above fans mentioned in the Replay Value. It is better than its predecessor.

Will there ever be a Kid Icarus 3? Will it ever make development? Who knows?
Let alone, would I/you want Kid Icarus 3? IDK.
UPDATE: Wow, I did predict the future...there is a new Kid Icarus game called Kid Icarus: Uprising, coming out for the Nintendo 3DS. Wow, that was unexpected.

Video of the game:
This is for you to judge the game itself, enjoy the gameplay footage. Sorry if it's too short, it's the only one I can find without any commentary.
