Arkista's Ring

I just played this game and had to write about it.

This game will sneak up on you and bite you in the ass if you're not paying attention to what you're doing. It was simply entertaining if nothing else.
I played for about two hours non-stop and it was the first time I have ever even played the game.

You play as Christine, an elven warrior from the land of Arkistas. The evil warlard Shogun has stolen a ring from your lands.

The goal of the game is simple, kill all the enemies on screen to reveal the key. Use the key to get through the locked doors and to the exit.

Sound simple?

I thought so too.
The game is comprised of 125 stages. Each stage gets a little bit harder because the enemies grow more resistant to your arrows and the corridors get smaller so you have less room to move.

At about stage 40 I believe you fight Shogun (at least I think its Shogun I have not beat the game yet). He is not all that tough, he shoots out a wave of energy that is fairly easy to dodge. After you defeat him the game starts over at about stage 20 and you have to replay the same maps only this time the enemies have doubled there strength and are a lot faster.

Killing enemies takes skill and patience (mostly do to bad collision detection and enemy advancements.) The enemies chase you in a predictable pattern but in the later stages it is impossible to out run most of them.

I give this game great reviews and suggest it to anyone who is a fan of Legend of Zelda because it does remind me of it a lot.

Re: Arkista's Ring

I brought this game. Boxed and everything. It seems like a "I can be like Japanime too" type thing. The character is a typical Japanese animation elf girl, the enemies are something would see from the far east. As with Metal Gear solid the final level is nothing but Ninja's. I forget if I had finished the game but it was great and all. I remember the last thing was Ninja's, a big Dragon ( I think there are more ) and a red guy. I forget. really nice music as well.
