Children of Mana (DS)

Does anyone have this game or has anyone played it before? Another game from Square-Enix. I was in a mall a while back where they had this game on the shelf so I decided to buy it. Well, upon talking to the cashier at that store, she said that the game itself was new (not release date) but it wasn't in the original packaging. I told her I didn't want it anymore, she looked at me weird, I left and then bought it online...at newegg.com.

When the game arrived, it was in the original packaging...original plastic and everything and at a better price.

Anyway, if most of you guys don't know already (members of the NintendoNerds Forum know this) I have a habit of buying more games than I can actually keep up with as far as beating them. There's just something about breaking the original plastic and peeling it away from the case, popping the case open and sticking my nose inside and taking a huge whiff. Yeah...I actually do that too...every time I buy a new game. It's like that new car smell I guess.

Anyway...has anyone played it yet?

Re: Children of Mana (DS)

from what I've read, this title is not a prequal or sequal to the Secret of Mana that was released for the SNES. The word "Mana" just means magic.

Re: Children of Mana (DS)

It's a great game, kinda Zelda: LttP like. It took me two months to beat it & I enjoyed every minute of it.
You can choose between 4 different characters, each one with a different weapon . You can choose to take in some side-quest if you like (what I'm planning to do right now), or you can go through the main story. You level up in the game, & you can equip your weapons according to level. The final boss isn't all that tough, but the one before it is imo the true threat. I highly recommend it. 10/10.
