Trackball for Kickman

Hi
I wonder if you could help me with this issue ?
I wanted to play "KICK" with a trackball. In the "input this game" menu I've set the trackball in "Dial Analog" but it behaves awkward and does not respond correctly even after changing the sensitivity and autocentering values. So just out of curiosity I tried to set it up in "dial inc" and "dial dec" Although I know it's only for digital input BUT to my surprise it worked pretty well after I changed the digital speed! This whole thing works ONLY on the RetroUprising MAME. For some reason it does not work on my PC (I'm using MAME 106) -The inc and dec dials won't accept my TB . How can I fix this?
Cheers

Re: Trackball for Kickman

Probably just need to add " -mouse" to the command line.

Hi Kong
Thanks for the reply but command line MAME is way beyond me.
I'm a very low-tech individual so only GUI MAME for me ..
I did try though to add "mouse" on every option in the controller mapping tab and also checked the "enable mouse input" in the controller tab .
Cheers mate

Re: Trackball for Kickman

Go to that same screen
Click "controllers" tab
Put a check mark in the "Enable mouse input" box
Click ok
Start game
Press tab
Go to input this game
Go to "dial analog"
Press enter
Move track ball right or left
Escape out of menus

Then should work.

That is EXACTLY what I always do with all TB games like Centipede,Millipede,Missile Command etc
BUT for this specific game the "dial analog" does a very poor job (as I stated in the OP, it's hard to control and not stable especially in fast spins ) and surprisingly the "dial dec" and "dial inc" work very nice and that's what I want. But it works only with RU MAME and not with my MAME which is a bit odd and mostly frustraing.
Maybe there no solution for that
Cheers
