Coin- Op Commands

I was wondering if there is a way to modulate the speedup of the game.
For example if I click F9 BombJack speeds up 500% which is very good to "skip" boring/repeating scenes, but I'd like to control in 25% speedup/slowdowns steps.
Some games are great when they run a little slower or a little faster.

Also someone knows the easier and most dumbproof way to dump only the sound while playing ?

Re: Bugs, feedback and feature requests.

I assume you are referring to Score Mode.

Sorry not possible. Fast forward just plays as fast as your computer can go. If you can manage to slow your processor down through some other means then you could slow down the fast forward. I will try to add this feature in the future.

For muting the only options are
1. Press ` then hold left until the green bar goes to zero. Then press ` again to get rid of the volume bar. ` is the key in the top left of keyboard left of the 1 and below the escape key.

or 2. You can press Tab. Select Slider Controls. Hold Left to slide Master Volume all the way to the left.

Re: Bugs, feedback and feature requests.

Kong I think he meant 'dumping' as in 'recording' the audio during gameplay. I think there is a way, and I will post when I'm off of work.

Re: Bugs, feedback and feature requests.

Thank you.
I wasn't referring to score mode. As the rules state clearly that you cannot slow down, but only speedup.
And yes, I was asking how to save only the sound of a playing game on a file directly from the emulation.

Re: Bugs, feedback and feature requests.

I thought you meant speed a game up to say 150% instead of 500%. And not 50%.

There have been many games where I wished I could play at 150% in score mode. Especially dungeon crawlers and RPGs.

For dumping sound is going to be different for each system. Is there a particular system you had in mind?

Yes, speedup/slowdown steps. That's right but I wasn't specific for score mode.

Re: Bugs, feedback and feature requests.

Go to a coin op game page.
Right click the "Full Mode" link.
Copy the URL.
Put that URL in the address bar.
Add this to the end of the URL.
Code:
&cmd=-wavwrite filename.wav speed .8
Press enter.
Wait for the game to load.

That will play the game at 80% (.5 would change it to 50%, and 2 would be 200%) and create a wav file named "filename.wav" (you can change the filename) in this location
%temp%\arcadeox\coinopF
or this location
%temp%\Low\arcadeox\coinopF

If you are using the beta then it would be
%temp%\arcadeox\coinop_beta13
or
%temp%\Low\arcadeox\coinop_beta13

Sound dump worked perfectly. I have already tryed converting the sample to mp3.
Slowdown crashed arcadeox. A couple times.
I tried also completely clearing "coinopF" directory but same effect. (OS is XP with firefox). I will try some more later.

Thanx

Typo. The - before speed was missing. Try this.
Code:
&cmd=-wavwrite filename.wav -speed .8

Of course seedup influences sample generation too. Sound samples at 120% are funny and perfect for a lot of uses (from smartphone rings to custom dance songs and on).

Are there any other parameters like -wavwrite and -speed already enabled to be used ?

Is there a key to take a screenshot? On MAME it was available.

Re: Coin- Op Commands

The recorded wav file should play back at normal speed no matter what speed you recorded it at.

Screenshot is F12. Go to where the wav file was and there will be a snap folder. Screenshot will be in there. You might need to use snapsize, described below.
