Glitchy bootleg of star wars game

I have a bootleg of Star Wars Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, and once I got to level 2, the game screwed up on me. At the part where you need to open a door with a Gammorean, a protocol droid, and a human guy inside, Kyle says the door is locked, and "Locked" shows up on the HUD. Do I simply need a key? Or is my copy glitched? I watched parts of a YouTube LP, but they just seemed to open the door perfectly fine. Please respond, I frickin love this game.

Re: Glitchy bootleg of star wars game

Hi Guy, it sounds to me like you may have simply overlooked something - I've been there many times myself.
Another possibility is that the game has a very specific requirement such as standing in the exact right spot, then pressing the action button {for example} in order for it to open the door.
This seems quite common and has baffled me before many times in many games.

The only other thing I can recommend is to check online walkthroughs - text and video - until you figure it out.
