Controller Issues
My Xbox 360 controller only works for the Coin-op games, I cant play any Nintendo games with it

Re: Controller Issues
If you have been through your options fully, you may have to install a controller emulator ect.. such as Xpadder or Ds3 Tool ( PS3 )
|
Re: Controller Issues
I use a 360 controller sometimes. There's no known compatibility issues. Try updating your controller's driver.
Also, ensure that Steam is not running in the background. Its known to cause interference with controllers and ArcadeOX. |
Re: Controller Issues
Do I need to install a controller imulator? My Xbox controller still will not work for any other games, only for Coin-op

Re: Controller Issues
My 360 controller works fine on the site. The only two issues you should encounter is with Steam running in the background and the 360's shitty hat-switch d-pad. Make sure your driver is up to date, Steam is fully closed, and test your controller through your control panel. You might want to force the d-pad into only outputting 4 or 8 directions. Iirc, the 360 preset is 16 directional for whatever stupid reason.

Re: Controller Issues
Bluetooth is the advanced way to play as far as controllers but the best reliable way is to use a hardwired controller, 360, PS3 or PC. I think it may be the new browser updates that are causing conflict because I am having the same issues as well, I dont use steam Im on windows 7 and have been using the same method up until now. The easiest route to go is a controller emulator if the help and troubleshooting topic fails, I hope this helps.

Re: Controller Issues
where would be good place to download an emulator (legit site), also has anyone tried using the windows 10 microsoft adapter for xbox one controllers for this?
|
Re: Controller Issues
I would use Xpadder for 360 controllers personally, Just go to the Xpadder official website for the free download. Sorry I may not be the correct Mod to answer your second question, However , I have heard nothing of the sort for the Xbox Ones controller testing for the site yet so my answer would be that it is not capable...Yet... i Hope This Helps You, Thank You.

Re: Controller Issues
I'm on Win 10, and I've been using my XBox 1 controller via USB. For me, it was just plug and play - but I had to disconnect my usual Qanba fighting stick first, and have the XB1 controller be the ONLY controller plugged in. Once Windows recognized it, I opened up RU and started playing a few games - no problems, no installs, no third-party s/w.

Re: Controller Issues
I'm not sure about wireless. I'm wiring mine with micro USB. I used it again yesterday - unplugged my usual controller, plugged in XB1 controller via micro USB to USB, the controller's light came on, I heard the little Windows 10 sound, indicating it recognized it. I had to reconfigure the game I'd already played, to assign the controller buttons and sticks again. Is the light on your XB1 controller at least coming on? If you go into the individual game menu to assign controls to your input, can you get a response then?

Re: Controller Issues
well the light on the controller comes on, and i read that you have to change the input in game, no response when i press buttons for the individual config, even tried the different controller selection unless i am missing something

Re: Controller Issues
well waited for the aniversay update for win 10, updated controller and driver, still cant get the controller to work and pressing tab and not finding an option for the controller, tried pressing some buttons, wouldn't let me set, doesn't seem to recognize the controller is hooked up, tested with the Microsoft accessiores app and was able to move the controller around, just seems ie wont recognize the controller no matter what, will just have to try a 3rd party controller instead, if a solution is ever found, let me know
