Agreed, I've always found the best way to go into a game is to go into it blindfolded. In fact, a lot of the time I'm a little skeptical about watching youtube clips of a game because I think it might give something away.
But for multiple ending games with like, 20 endings(Clock Tower 3(2us)), I just can't slave away to. I'm not going to spend 70+ hours with trial and error trying to find every single combination just trying to get ending J and K. I might find about half the endings on my own, but I'm only going to do the 2 hour long second level so many times.
