Re: guitar hero 3 info

This thread went quiet, so I'll try to revive it. I'm hoping to get some advice from you more experienced players.

I delved into Guitar Hero for the first time this Christmas, purchased the Guitar Hero II Bundle Pack, thinking it would be a fun party game. As I'm sure happens to everyone, my friends, family (wife included) were instantly hooked, and our lives were transformed forever.

I have essentially mastered Medium difficulty on GH2. I've rented GH3 and GH 80's and can pretty much rock those on Medium as well.

My question is... How do you progress from Medium to Hard? Where do you start? What is the proper hand placement? Do I keep my pinky on orange at all times and use my index finger to transfer from Green to Red, or do I have to shift all my finger up and down the neck by one fret?

Please advise. I want to prove to the world that I am the TRUE Guitar Hero! ;D
