Story:

The Great Deku tree, guardian of the sacred Kokiri Forest, is dying by an
unknown, menevolent force and he has sent a young villager from the Forest by the
name of Link to discover the source and prevent the world from sinking into
eternal dispair.
After overcoming numerous trails Link finally reaches Hyrule Castle, where he
meets Princess Zelda of Hyrule. It is revealed that the leader of the Gerudo Clan,
Ganondorf, is seeking to take over Hyrule and become a god by obtaining the
three shards of the triforce, Courage, Wisdom, and Power.
Link heads to the Temple of Time to pull the almighty Master Sword and banish
Ganondorf into the abyss, but he is sent into the future where he must overcome
the evils sealed away at the multiple temples.
Gameplay:
Ocarina of Time didn't become the highest rated game ever for no reason.
As with all Zelda titles, Link heads from temple to temple collecting powerups
which gain him access to new locations around Hyrule. Equipment such as the
Bomerang and the Arrows return, while new ones such as Gravity shoes and the
Ocarina of Time add new flexability to gameplay. The Ocarina itself allows link to
perform various tasks such as teleport from temple to temple or change the day to
night (and vise versa) as well as call your horse: Epona.
The revolutionary new feature that was introduced in Ocarina of Time that is now a
industry standard is lock-on combat. Using Navi, you can target enemies aloing
Link to circle strafe enemies or dodge enemy attacks with ease.
Another revolutionary feature was the fact there were two time periods to visit, the
present and the future. This called for multiple shifting through time periods for
multiple sidequests and it also displayed dramatic change in scenery especially seen
in Caslte Town.
A new addition to the Zelda series was the new Horseback riding (which was also
introduced in this game). After obtaining Epona's Song from the past, Link can
obtain Epona by playing it to her in the future and winning races against the new
ranch owner.
Another great thing about Ocarina of Time is that no boss fight doesn't keep you
on the edge of your seat and they keep coming at you making you plan out your
next move.
The menu system, while dated now, had nothing like it before alowing players to
be organized and never miss place their items.
Graphics:
Ocarina of Time was one of the best looking games at the time, each town and
location each had a unique look to them and again changed in appearance between the various time periods.
Every enemy also was well animated and each made excelent jumps from 2D to
3D.
Sound:
Ocarina of Time also benefited from the amazing score produced by Koji Kondo,
although this title lacks the Zelda theme, it still has some classics.

Challenge:
Ocarina of Time is incredibly balanced, letting vertans feel right at home and never
getting too chalenging to newcomers, but if there is one thing this game is infamous
for is the dreaded Water Temple. There is a key underneath the center of the
collum in the middle of the temple that many players couldn't find and has burned
it's temple theme into the minds of gamers everywhere.
Overall:
Ocarina of Time isn't the highest rated game by pure luck, but because it perfected
gaming on many levels and I'd recommend this title for anyone to play.
