First video game you played or first system you owned
I'll never forget it, Christmas day 1992, I was five years old and I unwrapped a big as heck box, there it was... My Sega Genesis, man I was so excited, I must've played Sonic the Hedgehog for hours and I forgot what other games I got but man was it fun.
Re: First video game you played or first system you owned
my mom brought me home a 2600 when i was about 6, it came in and old box of jumbled wire and had a few games, possibly: boxing, ice hocky, donkey kong, solaris maybe, these are just a few i dont remember buying.
Re: First video game you played or first system you owned
first game I remember playing was super mario world.
first system I actually owned was a sega genesis.
man thats goin back to when I was like 5 years old...good times!
Re: First video game you played or first system you owned
It was a SNES, when the N64 was really big, and I was in the second grade, and the first game was Super Mario World, that was when I got hooked on video games.
Re: First video game you played or first system you owned
and I loved it.
Asteroids, Space Invaders, Pitfall, Combat, Yars Revenge and a couple I remember but not the names.
Pac-Man was a huge let-down though.

Christmas morning, 1982 I opened up what is still one of my all-time favorite systems, the ColecoVision.
Dude I wish I had a Coleco Vision, albeit I still have my uncle's Atari 2600 and my Sega Genesis, man people have offered me thousands for those two but I refuse, it's not the money it's the sentimental value and the fact that my uncle passed away of lung cancer in 2003, if I sell it he's gonna haunt me until I'm dead
Re: First video game you played or first system you owned
My parents had an Atari 2600 that I first played when I was about 6 - 1984. They had about 20 games so I don't remember the very first one I played. Technically that was never my system. After that I found a Telstar Pong system in the attic and claimed it as my own. My grandparents had an Intellivision with about 20 games. Same deal, I don't remember the first one I played and I didn't really own it. In 1988 I received an SMS for Christmas. The first game I played on it was Safari Hunt and then Hang-On. A week later I got about 5 more games. I remember Ghost House and Ghost Busters was two of them. A couple years later I got a Genesis and the first game on it was Altered Beast.
Re: First video game you played or first system you owned
Tenser, my first system that I was allowed to play by my brothers was colecovision... didn't last long, but it's true, and you're like 15 years older than me
Edit: the colecovision controller is bad, my hand actually sweats after I've used it 30-60 minues, I use my right hand to hold under it, and my left for that joystick, the super action controllers are better, don't know if you have any of those...?

I was gonna say the same thing.
I don't remember the first system I played, it was either Atari or Colecovision. The first system I really got into was NES, hard to forget that epic system.

@ tenser Old enough to be grumpy with no reason
I remember the colecovison, playing a game with 2 planes trying to shoot each other.
My first system was the atari and the game kaboom. I think I was 5. When I woke up at night I could bust my dad playing it. Another game was 4 fortresses in the corners and playing a pong like match. These games were awesome with the paddle.
Re: First video game you played or first system you owned
first game I played was Donkey Kong Jr. on arcade. I would play it at the local flea market every weekend when my grandma would take me to sell soda pop to people walking around. My pay was 2 to 4 bucks in quarters and I would play like there was no tomorrow!

Some guy last year offered me like 3 grand for them because he was collecting old systems, even though I told him you could like get a Sega Gen for like 5 bucks on Ebay
