Retronauts Live Episode 49: Final Fantasy IV



Final Fantasy IV might not be the best of Square's flagship series, but it's the one I've played the most -- and many of you may find yourself in this same situation. It's definitely more available than any other Final Fantasy, but the reasons behind IV's popularity can't be chalked up to accessibility alone; Square's first 16-bit RPG also offers a fast pace, succinct story, and a relatively short running time -- in other words, it just might be the most replayable RPG out there. Listen in as Jeremy Parish, Jose Otero, Marty Sliva, and me try to figure out what makes Final Fantasy IV so great -- with a little help from our retro friends (that's you).
