Retronauts Live Episode 29: Kirby's Dream 'Cast

In case you couldn't tell, Kirby stands as one of Nintendo's most prolific characters; while we typically wait excruciating years between Zelda and Mario installments, Kirby games pop up at an alarming rate, offering a comfortable and charming world of adorable critters to inhale and absorb -- and often, bringing some pretty monumental game play mechanics with them. Surprisingly, we managed to plow through all of Kirby's many adventures in merely 90 minutes, even though I initially thought we'd barely make it through the main games of the series. It does help that many of Kirby's outings somewhat similar, but when HAL tries to do something different with their unofficial mascot, they usually end up wowing us all. Special thanks to Chris Kohler, Ray Barnholt, and Audrey Drake for coming in to drop their Kirby knowledge on me like a megaton punch. And, might I add, good god did doing research for this episode take a while. Stop being in so many games, Kirby!

Oh yeah, and if you'd like to check out Brian's Video Games: The Trivia Game, steer your browser to this link.

Envelope Art Alley

James shows us that Mega Man may be planning a reunion tour.

Kyle brings us a fine collection of video game iconography.

Sarah's amazing slime drawings set a new standard for Retronauts envelope art. She also has a neato webcomic that you should check out.

And her depiction of Raichu warms and slightly electrifies the heart.

As always, If you'd like us to read your letter on the show and/or feature your envelope art on our blog, write to:

And -- what the heck! -- I've already posted information about next week's call-in episode! So go ahead and check that out if you haven't already.
