They're the ROYALS for crying out loud, perhaps the most protected people in the World right after the Pope, and we're expected to believe that their car window was broken by 'student protesters'?
First question:
Where were their Royal guard?
Don't they have personal Police following them everywhere they go, escorts and such?
The protesters shouldn't have been able to get anywhere near their car.
Second question:
What happened to the bullet - proof glass?
We all know these peoples' {like all the elites'} vehicles are reinforced to survive an attack from a rocket propelled grenade {from top to bottom} just in case ... so how could the window be broken?
I think this was a staged event executed to bring in more Police State to the EU:

The security breach is embarrassing for police and the royal household in the run-up to Prince William's wedding on April 29, raising questions about whether security needs to be boosted.
1. Optifine - allows you to tweak display settings and certain game elements giving excellent game performance even on 32 - bit systems. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/...and-much-more/ 2.Custom NPC's mod - create your own NPC characters in Minecraft.
Fully customizable, meaning you decide everything: type, size, skins {compatible with most skins made for 'Human Male', like Steve, so you can use skins people upload to PMC and other sites}, assign jobs, factions, etc, etc.
All this and it adds numerous items such as weapons, armor, food, quest items, and more. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/...-npcs-splanmp/ 3.MACE city generator mod - a standalone program which generates worlds with cities. {NOT just random like it says, they're fully customizable with dozens of city options - why do they say random when itisn't?}.
There are 3 basic themes {desert, medieval, and Novv - sort of medieval with lots of detail} and you can insert 1 - 100 cities of your choosing into generated worlds.
Name the world or leave MACE to give it a random name, insert a world seed, tweak the options to make them contain only what you want them to, then create a profile so you can duplicate your favorite cities again later! http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/...ies-generator/ 4. Tale of Kingdoms mod - I consider this to be part mod, part city generator; the mod inserts a medieval style building {into either a new world or an existing save file}called the Guild.
The Guild is the starting point of the RPG aspect of the mod.
NPC's in the Guild inform you that you are the King who must complete certain tasks in order to gain the trust of your people.
Once you gain their trust {by gaining enough in - mod 'EXP', basically} you can then choose the site of your Kingdom, which you provide the raw materials to build.
There are 3 tiers to the Kingdom, expandable as soon as materials become available.
IN CONCLUSION:
These mods used together hold HUGE potential both on or offline and the best part is that you can do what I did:
Use MACE to create a world with a city {or cities}, then install the TOK mod, play to gain the Kingdom, and then uninstall TOK and use the Custom NPC's mod to make your own characters, storyline, whatever!
And in case you were wondering it is possible to have both mods running at the same time, but your custom characters better be tough enough to stand up to the TOK hostile mobs!
I think you're reading too much into this. They are only royalty by title. I bet they have this high level of protection for the real important people in government and they only have it for the figureheads when they're doing public events. Of course that'll be different now but that's to be expected.
It's funny that you jump to the conclusion that it's some kind of conspiracy to usher in a martial law type scenario though. I'm sure you've heard this phrase before but it bears repeating -the simplest explanation is more likely the correct one.

What do you guys think?
Hi Joe, you should try and find some footage of this online if you can - it's even more farcical than you can imagine.
Living in England this has obviously been the headline news for the last few days and hard to avoid. I'm not a big fan of the monarchy in England however I saw this incident for the first time on the news last night. There was one thing I did find odd. As the old fashioned juggernaut of a Rolls Royce with great big Royal crest attached to the roof drove down the road containing the heckling protesters a passenger side window remained fully open all the time even when they strated throwing stuff at the car. I don't think even the Policeman walking alongside the vehicle could believe it and keep repeatedly asking for them to do 'please put up your window'.
You could clearly see a car of suited and booted men behind the Royal's. The narrater explained that they were in fact the Royal Guard - who according to the chief of the metropolitan police the next day were 'seconds from drawing their weapons'!
I don't think their are any conspiracy theories concerning the incident. Probably just the person who planned the Royal car's route home is now looking for a new job. Or maybe they just did it for some excitement on the way home after watching a rather mundane 'Royal variety performance' at the theatre
So, you're saying they should have fired a proton torpedo and bulls - eyed the tailpipe?
JJ, thank you for confirming this for us.
I knew something was fishy about it.
And the guard were going to 'draw' their weapons, eh?
I wonder how far away drawing is from firing.
Please tell us if you heard anything about this 'Off with their heads' business, according to the article I posted some people were saying that to them.

Yey another fellow member from the UK
I found the whole thing very funny, I cant stand the royals.

Yep, that could clearly be heard from the footage on the news. There must be a link to the footage somewhere on t'net.
@Sez - Not a fan of the monarchy either - although I'm looking forward to the extra days off work next year for the big Royal wedding. I shall be watching it on t.v. intently! Hell, I may even buy the souvenir tea towel.

LoL I only found out yesterday that you get a few days off during a monarchy wedding, I will proberly flick over to it as its bound to be on BBC 1 and ITV plus all the news channels.
The annoying thing is, I have found nobody that is looking forward to it/interested in it, and yet it's all over the news. Maybe not right now, but it was before and it will be all that's reported in the run-up to the wedding. Who gives a toss? Give us some real news!
Btw I just noticed that the real issue was never brought up. The student protesters were so mad because their tuition fees are being raised sharply, triple the normal rate I heard. Understandably they were enraged by seeing the worthless "royals" parading around in their fancy vintage car while they're fighting to keep education affordable for the common people instead of only for wealthy. I don't blame them one bit, if I was there I would've spit on those old fools.
Yeah it's a different story when you hear the reason for the protests. They hurt their cause by attacking people while protesting but at least they didn't do anything actually dangerous. In the link one quote labels them as anarchists. It'd prefer to call it mischief. From the sound of things it was just a case of wrong time wrong place. It's kinda epic timing really. I wish they had footage of there faces when they saw protesters.
Btw I just noticed that the real issue was never brought up.
But didn't go unnoticed by me.

Oh, I wouldn't call the Royals worthless,DB.

I think saliva is considered to be a WMD now, like marijuana.

Maybe so, in terms of their appearance to the outside World.
But when you consider the fact that Freedom of Speech is under attack so heavily that if they aren't sending protesters to 'Free Speech Zones' {places so far out of the way that nearly nobody will hear you} then they send Agent Provocateurs into the crowd {usually Police with black bandanas on their faces} to start fights as a pretext to send in the riot squad with all their toys, I think these students did rather well.
Frankly I don't think many people would have been sad to see something real happen to the so - called Royals or the other politicians {who send our children to unnecessary endless wars, so they can maintain their power over us all.}
No one seems concerned about the credibility or public image of the warmongers.
But didn't go unnoticed by me.

I'm not saying any of you overlooked it or missed it. I brought it up because we all seemed to be missing the real point of the story, why.

Nope they're worthless. The money expended to keep them on the world stage is unforgivable and could be better used for the people, like not hiking up tuition for students. Honestly I think it's very embarrassing for brits to have this fake royalty in todays wold. To me it's just a sad reminder of a past most modern brits wanna move away from, the age of colonialism. It wasn't totally bad but I think most people would agree that it's time has past and we must move on.

You're right that it's considered a lot worse than it used to be. Spitting on someone, or even on the sidewalk, can be seen as a biological attack. It's not up there with WMDs but it's still a real issue. Admittedly spitting on the sidewalk won't get you in trouble really but a cop could give you a hard time about it.

You're thinking of the US when you say this. I'm not familiar with limey laws but I don't think they have a freedom of assembly right like we do here. The article off handedly mentions how protesters are delegated to particular zones, I figured this was the norm. One of our british buddies will have to clarify for us.
Are we supposed to care? I'm sure lots of students had similar breakdowns because they can't afford higher education. I have a hard time feeling bad for an ultra rich, ultra worthless fake dignitary.
I don't know why someone voted you down, but I +1'd that for you JG
I agree - even if we want to keep a monarchy, I think it gets harder every tear on us because of them. Most of their money is paid by the taxpayer and therefore is a waste of good money! Why can't they just go out and get a job if they aren't going to rule!
