Score mode is not working on super valis 4. just an fyi.

Hey Fogey. That's a really good question. I'll bring that up to the Mods and see if we can get a consensus. You do have a point about that due to the time limit. I know some world records have used techniques that can fall into gray areas like this, so there are times where an exception or clarification might be in order. I'll let you know what is decided.

Hello. I have something I'd like your opinion on. Recently when playing Castlevania III for the nes, I found a farming spot where you can infinitely kill mummies. If you use holy water to kill them you can chain up to 3000 extra points often. this would be okay because there is a time limit to do this in. However, there is a holy water at the restart point and the mummies can give you hearts. So if you are good you can get many extra lives through this process. So what is allowed. I know that the world record on the game was achieved doing something like this. In fact a lot of the arcade world records involve using farming, checkpoint milking etc. Things that are not allowed here. Seems like an interesting predicament. I also didn't submit that farming thing but I got to at least 600,000 points with 4 lives in the queue, more lives then I had when I first got there.

I tried to play mega turrican on genesis and it said I can only play it on European pal machines only. I can't play it. just fyi.

Yeah. You're right. That one has to be listed as a farmable game. When you continue, the score carries over so it can't remain as a trophy game.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll check on it. It might need to be changed to farmable if that's the case. Off hand do you know, does your score reset when you continue?

hey, just thought you should know. When you put a credit into the Final Fight 2 Coin Op version, it stays on 1 credit so you can infinitely continue. It might encourage cheating.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked it and you're right, score mode doesn't work. I will check into it and see if there are any options to fix it. If we can, I will let you know so you can play it.

hey just a head's up. super valis 4 was not working in score mode today. just fyi.

I think I will try to play the cartridge this weekend. I used to beat it on a regular basis, but I haven't played it all the way through in a long time.

I am looking in to a way to fix it on here, but the error is somewhat elusive. I will let you know if we find a way to fix it, so we can throw down on it some more.
